I always cringe when I watch Bieksa speak. He was a solid but forgettable player on a team that flopped in a cup final and he yaps and yaps like he's Bobby Orr. The culture he built was an arrogant one that shriveled like Costanza in the cold ocean. Chokers.

Interesting thing about this is that most of Tocchet’s haters would call him a dinosaur if he was making the same points. The bottom line is that we need a team with tons of guys who are obsessed with their craft (like Crosby, MacKinnon, etc.). One of the reasons I think EP40 is a goner is that organizationally they don’t believe he’s willing or able to meet this standard.

Such great words there. What stood out for me is building that culture and he mentioned only missing the playoffs twice. That's huge.
