This is amazing parenting.

Ain’t no love like Christian hate. Abandoning their friends bc of who their child is and the parents supporting them isn’t very Christ like.

It is so sad that people are so close minded about this. They allow their feelings and religious dogma to guide them. Just like you know who you are, your child knows who they are. My advice to parents. SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO YOUR CHILD. Full stop, then support them. Period!

I am very uneducated in this and do not have a child, but I can’t imagine how hard this must be for the parents on this panel and I respect their strength and that of their children. You don’t have to understand, but listen and love your kids.

We have a NB child. My dad used to be a missionary. I thank you so much for making this show. I sat down with my parents and our NB to help bridge some explanation, and it meant the world to my child and also has helped my parents understand these issues a bit better.

When a human is telling you they feel a certain way, listen. Fear is the nectar of evil.

@martynlenoble Listening & learning instead of judging & condemning is how we evolve & improve our species…our humanity…our Spirituality. TY🙏🏼 for leading an insightful conversation Mr. Stewart. Every effort we make to understand one another, betters us all. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

There are two salient points. First and foremost, the children were disclosing before the age of 5 yrs. Second, it took the parents' years to understand before accepting their children's truth. Ww must accept our kids for who they are, not who we want them to be.

Again, the comedian showing journalists how it should be done. Jon, I think it's time to admit-you're more than a comedian.

@NoxTana I feel so very sad for all the kids seeing this that DIDN'T have parents that loved them enough to be willing to honestly see, hear and listen to them despite their conservative/religious worldview.
