Every wind turbine we build, every solar panel we deploy and every nuclear reactor we bring online is helping to strengthen our energy security and bring down bills.

Another MP who desperately needs my free energy training Intermittent renewables will NEVER be cheaper They require backup They require more expensive real time balancing They require orders of magnitude more grid infrastructure than conventional generation And they STILL require massive subsidies All of that gets added to bills and is the reason bills are going up not down

"Every wind turbine we build, every solar panel we deploy and every nuclear reactor we bring online is helping to strengthen our energy security and bring down bills." There are multiple lies in your single sentence. Since all the subsidies handed to wind, solar & nuke capacity owners are index-linked, the cost of electricity they generate will all RISE. Since wind is highly variable and solar is nightly intermittent, they need gnawer-100% back-up by DEPENDABLES. Voters & electricity bill payers are not as stupid or ignorant as you'd like to imagine.

We're spending more money to employ more people to produce less electricity. Where is the security?

Liar, bills are going up by £200+++ for every household in the country on July 1, to 26p/kWh Also, buy yourself an electron microscope, have a look at the attached, see if you can find evidence of a quarter century of renewables bringing down our bills.

So why haven’t they? You currently have 12k wind turbines and all that happened is our domestic electricity prices have gone up! Granted you will have to triple the amount of turbines and install vast high density battery farms (the battery’s haven’t even been invented yet) for the AI revolution!

So why do we subsidise them, why do we pay daily standing charges, why is our power the highest cost in the world ? Jog on you chancer until we vote you out

You give us the EPD for a solar panel that inevitably comes from China.

No it is not. It is actually making us even more vulnerable to terrorist attack, doesn't improve resilience for the consumer and categorically won't bring down bills ..

How does making us dependent on the wind blowing and the sun shining make us secure?

Maybe you would like to explain why bills have gone up continuously & please don't insult our intelligence by blaming the Iran war fully appreciating that it has had some effect.

I don’t think so. No discussion on ♻️ No solar farms, rooftops, road sides, etc. only. NO RELIEF FOR BILL PAYERS. @UKLabour is economically illiterate! His obsession is off the wall!

Sizewell C potentially could cost £100billion . and the gov will only have 44.5% share. it's basically going to be controlled by EDF ....a French company. remember when France blackmailed Jersey over power supply and covid ? Energy security ??? everyone knows bills don't go down

You may like to roar in a empty Chamber, but without the batteries needed for "energy security" you are just shouting in the wind.

Your words are meaningless drivel Intermittent energy by definition cannot be secure because it needs 24/7 back-up. Nuclear is different but presumably you’re not even that thick not to realise Bills aren’t coming down so wtaf are you on about?

Can we see the government's plans for replacing wind turbine towers and blades when they reach the end of their lifespan. When do they need to be changed, what happens to the old ones and how much will it cost?

Which is, of course, a lie except for the nuclear part. Where are these nuclear reactors of which you talk? Are there any new ones yet? No? Nothing?
