This is an awesome idea. Coding for everyone is easily possible today with AI. Maybe not for a huge, complex system, but small automations that help most people in their daily lives. Love this.

Tried really hard a few months ago but Cursor with 3.7/2.5 still couldn’t follow a PRD fully or debug. It needed knowledge I didn’t have. No AI could help. Waiting for the tech to improve.

Andrew Ng is turning everyone into code wizards at AI Fund! Who needs a magic wand when you've got AI? 🌟📷 Let's hope this vibe coding trend doesn't lead to a office-wide hackathon... or does it? 📷

This is fantastic!! Seeing people using AI to solve their own problems and problems of their team is really great. One point to note that when building apps targeting general public, it is always good to understand what goes on under the hood and not take the code generated by AI on face value. This also mean that some level of technical understanding could be required to patch security holes left by AI in the code.

Absolutely agree — we’re building something similar at MetaForge™, where non-coders use AI to launch micro-businesses powered by automation and no-code tools. The goal is the same: make everyone a builder, regardless of their technical background. We’ve seen firsthand how AI-assisted workflows unlock creativity, reduce dev bottlenecks, and turn ideas into live services within hours. This isn’t just about learning to code — it’s about learning to co-build with AI. Love seeing AI Fund promote this mindset. Let’s keep pushing this frontier together.

“Everyone should learn to code with AI!” 😨😨… Worst idea ever. Unless, of course, your goal is to create a generation of people who can’t think critically and depend on your subscription service just to make a living. 😉

Everyone coding? 🤣 Sounds like a recipe for…everyone. Productivity's a funny thing.

AI gave entry to those who had never even approached an IDE before. Now the main thing is not to write code, but to be able to formulate intentions.

Democratizing coding through AI is revolutionary. When non-engineers can build, innovation accelerates. This is how you foster a truly collaborative tech culture.

That's fantastic! Empowering all to code with AI is a game changer. Excited to see more teams embrace this approach.

I'm teaching a new course! AI Python for Beginners is a series of four short courses that teach anyone to code, regardless of current technical skill. We are offering these courses free for a limited time. Generative AI is transforming coding. This course teaches coding in a way that’s aligned with where the field is going, rather than where it has been: (1) AI as a Coding Companion. Experienced coders are using AI to help write snippets of code, debug code, and the like. We embrace this approach and describe best-practices for coding with a chatbot. Throughout the course, you'll have access to an AI chatbot that will be your own coding companion that can assist you every step of the way as you code. (2) Learning by Building AI Applications. You'll write code that interacts with large language models to quickly create fun applications to customize poems, write recipes, and manage a to-do list. This hands-on approach helps you see how writing code that calls on powerful AI models will make you more effective in your work and personal projects. With this approach, beginning programmers can learn to do useful things with code far faster than they could have even a year ago. Knowing a little bit of coding is increasingly helping people in job roles other than software engineers. For example, I've seen a marketing professional write code to download web pages and use generative AI to derive insights; a reporter write code to flag important stories; and an investor automate the initial drafts of contracts. With this course you’ll be equipped to automate repetitive tasks, analyze data more efficiently, and leverage AI to enhance your productivity. If you are already an experienced developer, please help me spread the word and encourage your non-developer friends to learn a little bit of coding. I hope you'll check out the first two short courses here!
