The catcher did the pitcher no favors by framing the pitch that way. If he kept his glove up where he caught it, he'd have gotten the strike-3 call.

It's funny how I watch one or two videos of catchers that do "great framing!" and now all of a sudden I'm like "that was horrible framing by that catcher!" as if the ump didn't just completely blow a clear strike right down the middle of the plate.

This looks bad since the batter is walking off. But the catcher blocked the view of the ump being so high up. Then Reaching so low to get it. A lot of umps call balls like this.
