This morning, I addressed workers in Ibadan who joined the Nigeria Labour Congress protests. I assured them that we will continue to work in the best interests of the good people of Oyo State. I also stated that contrary to the NLC Chairman’s statement this morning, our administration has been paying a wage award of N25,000 to workers and N15,000 to pensioners since October 2023.

I was out today with Birmingham refuse workers who are in dispute with Birmingham City Council. I'll say it again, workers should not be made to pay for the council's bad decisions. It's time to get decision-makers in the room and do the deal that protects these workers.

I have just been a call with the workers of Lindsey Oil Refinery. I am disgusted at these premature job losses, when there are still deals on the table to save the Refinery and jobs. It was inhumane how this was handled by the government and receivership company FTI. Workers were led into two separate rooms, after a twelve hour shift, told of job losses and then sent home. I will do all I can to support the workers and am meeting some next week.

Adjudication workers in GA were working with no oversight or chain-of-custody, which allowed them to switch Trump votes to Biden at the click of a button. Election workers in Detroit testified he witnessed election workers counting and processing invalid ballots for Biden. Other election workers in multiple states were threatened or even permitted to observe the counting as their job required them to do. Every recent forensic report coming out today is confirming everything we were told in 2020.

There comes a time when the existing generation must do all possible to change the status quo and put in place sober leadership. My submission was premised on the fact that some leaders have not met their commitments to the people and therefore there must be change of guards. Federal workers shouldn’t be punished for government shutdowns that aren’t their fault. But their credit can still take a hit if they can’t make a car or credit card payment. I have a bill to change that so federal workers don’t get hurt when Washington can’t get the job done.
