Look around you and see how people react. How they talk, how they look at you, how they judge you, what they do. Do they look at themselves, do they start to criticise other people? “Look around and you're going to learn the environment and the people that you have around you. “I cannot be prouder to work in a club with people that the only thing they could do is ask, what else can I do to help? “When you have people like this, I don't know if it's gonna take another week or two, but something good it will happen at the end because we deserve it.”

Naval Ravikant’s checklist for starting a company “The most important thing is there are no formulas. At the end of the day, you have to do what you love, and you have to do it even though people tell you it’ll never work. But that being said, if there was a formula [for starting a company], I would put it something like this.” Naval started seven companies before AngelList and this is the checklist he recommends running through before starting a startup: 1. Pick a great cofounder. This is most important: “You can do a company on your own, but it’s like you can raise a child on your own, but you probably shouldn’t. You need someone who’s going to be there with you.” This has it’s own checklist. Your cofounder should be: a. Very high intelligence (”hopefully they make you feel dumb, or they’re not smart enough”) b. Very high energy (”They should be extremely hardworking. A founder is someone who never has to be motivated. You should not have to be telling them to do their job.”) c. Very high integrity. (”a smart, hardworking crook who’s going to cheat you is the worst kind of person to be paired up with.”) 2. Pick a very large market. “Notice I don’t talk about the idea. I think ideas are almost irrelevant… The more important thing is that you pick a large space that you’re knowledgeable and passionate about. And then you will figure out what the right thing to do within that space is.” You want to be able to say to investors: “This is a space where there’s a huge market. I’m really knowledgeable and passionate about it. Here’s the great person that I have doing it with me. And here’s the minimum viable product that we have built. That will show that we can test in the marketplace… You iterate until you get to product/market fit… And then you go and you raise money from people you trust. And you use that money to scale.”

Niko Medved on the fans: I just refuse, and I have since I got here, I refuse to say that we can’t build this thing back. College basketball matters in the Twin Cities, it really does, it’s our job to make it matter. It’s games like this that start to get that going again. I love having the students rush the court, it’s supposed to be fun. You want them to come to the game and enjoy being there, rush the court, see us win. They go home and they had a blast, well you know what, they’re probably going to show up Friday too…and they’re probably going to bring their friends, I hope they do. I really appreciated the crowd so much. #Gophers

I think that’s really important for treasure makers too 🐶 bc in life, if you want to live as yourself, the first step is knowing who you are. from what I’ve seen, people who really understand themselves are very strong. even when everything around them is chaotic, they still feel kind of calm and grounded just by existing. 🐶 everyone is probably busy and struggling in their own way, but I hope you all take a moment to ask yourselves, “what do I actually like?” and if you’re unsure, try it out a bit, or stop if it’s not for you. just keep exploring little by little until you find what you like. 🐶 that kind of thing is really necessary. seriously necessary. there are a lot of people who go through life without even knowing what they like. 🐶 especially in todays times, I think this is even more important. if you do find something you like, I hope you don’t worry about other people’s opinions or the situation too much. just like it fully. it’s yours. dont hold back just because of what others might think or because conditions aren’t perfect. if you like something, then I think it’s right to go all in and love it as much as you can. 🐶 and there’s no such thing as “high” or “low” when it comes to personal taste or hobbies. no such thing as a high-class or low-class hobby, or high or low taste. And I think that applies to anyone who has a community or a group of people who follow them. So then this thing came out about me going to Disneyland. But, holy crap, as they say, maybe! Maybe I would go to Disneyland! And even if I did go to Disneyland, it’s none of your fucking business if I want to go to Disneyland. What the fuck do you care if I want to go to Disneyland? It’s my business. Also, I haven’t been to Disneyland in 18 years, last time was with a friend from high school. But even then, it’s still my business if I want to go with whomever I want: if I’m dating someone or not, if I want to go with a friend, if I want to go with a fan I choose from among you. Is it my business or not? I mean, is everything okay with you people? And then, what the fuck does it change for you? Do you appreciate me for who I am? Good.
