The team worked hard, meeting frequently to finalize the design. We wanted it to be perfectly complete and released as beautifully as possible. It's definitely going to be stunning. We will be announcing the dates for RINGFALL's first public test weekend soon. If you'd like to sign up early, there will be a link in the replies to do so. We want to do this right, so we're preparing a highlight reel as well as a written article detailing what to expect within the test. This test will be on a very early build of our game, and many features will be missing. That being said, we have fun during our playtests, and we think you will, too. We appreciate your patience while we get things ready.

Today is Good Friday. We are so loved that no matter what stupid, sinful, selfish, mean, mendacious thing we do, it is forgiven. There but for the grace...you know that expression? It identifies the choice of Jesus to let himself be nailed to a cross and tortured to death so that OUR sins could be forgiven. What love, what generosity, what grace. So....where is the grace in society?

Alan Watts on why meditation has no purpose: Alan Watts begins by explaining the first basic reason for meditation. It interrupts our constant internal monologue: "Now, obviously, if I talk all the time, I don't hear what anyone else has to say. And so in exactly the same way, if I think all the time, that is to say, if I talk to myself all the time, I don't have anything to think about except thoughts. And therefore, I'm living entirely in the world of symbols and am never in relationship with reality." But then Watts pivots to a deeper, more counterintuitive point: meditation, properly understood, has no purpose at all. He compares it to music and dancing: "When we make music, we don't do it in order to reach a certain point, such as the end of the composition. If that were the purpose of music, to get to the end of the piece then obviously the fastest players would be the best." The same applies to dance: "When we dance, we are not aiming to arrive at a particular place on the floor, as we would be if we were taking a journey. When we dance, the journey itself is the point. When we play music, the playing itself is the point." This is where Watts delivers his core insight about meditation: "Meditation is the discovery that the point of life is always arrived at in the immediate moment. And therefore, if you meditate for an ulterior motive, that is to say, to improve your mind, to improve your character, to be more efficient in life, you've got your eye on the future and you are not meditating." Watts argues the future is an illusion we chase at our own expense: "Because the future is a concept. It doesn't exist. As the proverb says, 'tomorrow never comes.' There is no such thing as tomorrow. There never will be. Because time is always now." He pushes back against how religion has framed contemplative practice: "Meditation is supposed to be fun. It's not something you do as a grim duty. The trouble with religion as we know it is that it is so mixed up with grim duties. We do it because it's good for you; it's a kind of self-punishment." Watts closes with what he calls the real essence of the practice: "It's a kind of digging the present. It's a kind of grooving with the eternal now and brings us into a state of peace where we can understand that the point of life. The place where it's at is simply here and now."

Trump on eliminating the Filibuster… He might just be giving you the playbook on how the rest of this plan gets rolled out… “I am totally in favor of terminating the filibuster, and we would be back to work within 10 minutes after that vote took place, and lots of other good things would happen. Here's some of the things that we'd pass if we terminated the filibuster, voter ID, no mail in, voting, no cash bail, no men and women's sports, no welfare for illegals. You could go on and on. This is two pages of things would do if you did that without it. I don't know that you passed anything, because you can't deal with them. But if we do it. We will never lose the midterms, and we will never lose the general election, because we will have produced so many different things for our people, for the people, for the country, that it would be impossible to lose an election. ….. if the filibuster is terminated, we will have the most productive three years in the history of our country. Therefore, the question is how do we create employment in this environment, and that employment comes from mass scale startups, which is what this government has already doing. So, how do we create new sets of people who are trying to solve new sets of problems not new sets of technology and if we do that we will get it right. I think we as Indians have to be very careful on who does data belong to and that is the debate we have a problem with. The LLM models which exist worldwide are far superior than the Indian models. Unfortunately, in India, we never develop products, so therefore we do not have SLMs and LLMs which are world-class. On one side, we have global LLM products which are coming to India and trading on our Indian data. Should we allowed that or should we not allowed that? But on the other side if we don't allow that then we have the data but we don't have the LLM models. So, how do we encourage technology completely to develop the LLM models. This needs radicals strategic thinking and a very important aspect otherwise we will either give up a data. So, I think it's a very critical aspect for us to think about - who does this data belong, what is the kind of incentives we are going to give to develop LLM technologies or SLM technologies fast so that we train on our data otherwise an LLM will come in with our data and we'll immediately see return and we'll celebrate and we will do all these kind of press releases but the India will lose a competitive advantage on something which is very critical for the next decade."

Greg Brockman talks about when OpenAI first realized that AGI can't be achieved with "Non-Profit" status and the decided to abandon its Non-Profit roots. "In 2017, we started to think very hard about, first of all, how do we really achieve the mission? How do we actually build an AGI? What will that look like? And we started to do the math on compute. You start to realize that it is going to take a big computer. We came across a company called Cerebras, which was building a unique piece of computing hardware. The kind of computer that they were promising, we realized, was going to be far advanced from where our compute calculations looked. As you start to realize, if we could buy a lot of those computers, we could actually probably succeed at building an AGI. If we could get exclusive access to Cerebras, that could give us an overwhelming advantage. If we could buy very large data centers, that could be something unique as well. The thing about nonprofit fundraising is that I think there is essentially a cap to what is possible there. And so Elon, Sam, Ilya, and I all agreed that the only path forward for OpenAI, and the only path to achieve the mission, was to create a for-profit entity associated with OpenAI in some form.
