The recovery followed information received from members of the community, who had repeatedly reported the particular property to local authorities. According to residents, despite several reports, no meaningful action had previously been taken. While EMPD officers were still on scene conducting investigations and loading the recovered evidence onto a towing vehicle, an off-duty police officer arrived.
