“Tech earnings aren’t that good” Does he know theses companies are making billions per quarter in revenue?

It’s all manipulation. Only the rich can tell all his friends to buy as he post war news to drive price cheaper.

Moment I heard the news of U.S. bombing Iran I placed nearly everything into oil call options, markets can be timed

This guy is a complete retard...the market goes up because the US money supply is going up at a rapid pace, and the US Treasury, banks and the Fed all have a vested interest and the technical capability to keep markets elevated... Its not that complicated...

The market was driven up by war premiums, or an extended geopolitical event. The diesel crack spread has been above $30+ for weeks . No one thought institutional investors would take there securities away from the market. Now globally we have a thin market on every heat map.

With the closure of the strait of Hormuz, market fell 9%. So loss of 20% of global oil supply resulted in a 9% drawdown And with the straits still closed, inflation increasing, global yields exploding, the market suddenly increases 14%!? Risk is only to the upside in a Ponzi

The VIX was elevated for 4 months, grinding higher and higher. Everyone was bearish, volatility ran out of time. It never resulted in a sharp spike that translated into a deep correction. It was a carefully managed period of volatility just as much as this rally seems illogical.

Personal opinion is that's not true. Markets price 3 or 6 months forward. What more could they know about that war. Or how much worse could it get? How many short sellers where left? That's the real reason. The market was trading at a discount based on what was going on.

my theory is simple. option dealers calculate the cost effectiveness of buying against the trend vs selling into it by how much premium they collected vs how much they would pay out if the trend continues. so under low volume it’s more cost effective and less risky to hold mor

This is silly. The market sold off when the war started and the bombing was heaviest. The breadth got weak and the vix went high. HF had very light positioning. Perfect tinder for a rally. Then the major combat ended, Trump moved into negotiations phase. Hence rally!

You were not a quant you don’t understand basics based on you biased wording. Markets are rallying up because earnings are good even though we have a war and oil prices up. You saying the tech stocks were down because of war is the irrational move this is actually rational.

That was perfect until the last sentence, which contradict the whole thing: "Once you see an environment where it's too obvious that you can time the market, you KNOW that there's gonna be a reversal." If we KNOW then we CAN time the market, don't we? Which means we won't know.

It’s the idea of consensus trades that cannot possibly be right. They may be right initially, but they almost always fail ultimately.

What we know as a matter of fact is that the stock market has no breaks and market makers can print an unlimited number of naked shorts. When one gets sloppy creating and selling too many shares that it draws public outrage, they pay a few million dollar fine and simply keep the crime spree going. This proves the entire stock market is fake, it can only be moved by market makers and hedge funds, which effectively own and dilute every stock. I’ll go even further: the stock market was never a real market where the house doesn’t always win. When a company decides to go public, it “acquires” its shares from the NYSE, NasDaq, ICE etc.. where those exchanges pay the company upfront for every share, take ownership (control), and then list the receipts (fiat shares) to retail investors and family offices. Retail is therefore buying an already once-diluted share. Market makers and hedge funds then add unlimited further dilution whenever demand appears. while the price of a stock is carefully gauged via algorithms based on geoeconomics.

you are only considering the strait being closed, but at the early point of the war there also was a ground invasion aspect. now, that has been minimized tremendously because Trump TACO has been fully exposed. the foundation of your entire theory is not sound
