Everything she said is valid but not easy to accomplish. To effectively buyback the block there needs to be a system that identifies the proper resources required in the community and allocate capital to fulfill it. The best way to accomplish this is through a cooperative.

You all have criticisms, no plans, and zero capital. Just niggas talking. Who’s paying the insurance for the kid’s “affordable” daycare for the community? Who’s staffing the grocery store? Who’s making the repairs & paying property taxes? Nothing ever materializes just talk.

The problem is that providing resources for the community costs A LOT of money. The profit from rehabbing houses is a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of investment needed to benefit a community.

You can’t begin to believe it would happen that fast. People need to build wealth before being able to build a hospital. Grocery store ok someone can do that a market style one but the people owning the real estate are doing their part now someone else has to step in with the passion like the person in the video, and be the one to build the other things “ok yall got the homes, I’ll build the day care empire and we come together”. It’s disingenuous to just chastise the people who chose their lane with the hopes they are somehow supposed to do it all. The person into organic growing? Join in and start up within the same buy back block areas. Connect with your passion and bring what’s missing, not just tell them what they ARENT doing.
