Exciting to see frontier world models moving on-device. As post-training becomes easier, the quality and diversity of real-world data will matter even more—especially for adapting one model across different embodiments, sensors, and environments.

On-device is the piece that makes agents actually deployable at the edge. The moment an agent has to round-trip to the cloud to reason, latency and reliability kill half the use cases, robotics and live video especially. A 4B world model that runs locally matters more for real deployments than another leaderboard number.

Cosmos 3 Edge on Jetson is the announcement that matters. 4B parameters locally for physical AI. That's where deployment gets hard. Edge inference is the real challenge.

open world models on-device changes the game for more than robotics. weve been testing edge inference for seminara and removing cloud round-trip latency makes real-time agent interaction feel instant. local-first isnt just a privacy play anymore

How does this integrate with agentic harnesses and long horizon tasks? Asking a robot to put a 'yellow block on a red block' Is cool, but if I want it to remember that its goal is: 'build a tower 5 blocks tall', it seems like that would require more than action, reason, predict
