Exciting personal update — I've been working on building the world's brightest lamp, with the goal of getting daylight levels of light indoors. We just launched on Indiegogo an hour ago; I'm especially proud of the video!

Here's the first prototype I built (filmed with exposure locked lol). You don't perceive it, but most lighting indoors is ~500x dimmer than daylight (~5000 lux). In my living room, even with all the lights on and the sun coming through the windows, I was only getting 35 lux! With my lamp I can get pretty close to daylight.

I have another early prototype in @thesfcommons if people want to check it out in person! Since then we've made it more power efficient and smart home connected. (So you can wake up to a sunrise, and in the evening dim & warm for sunset vibes.)
