The only people excited about the "progress" are Doug's friends who will see an increase in the value of their land...y'know, the stuff that was out in the middle of nowhere and why on earth would anyone speculate on the chances of someone dreaming up a highway to go to it...?

This is all about votes & paying back Doug Ford's backers & increasing their land values. What's the justification for building a hwy when there will be no homes along the route? All time low sfh's being built. We don't need Hwy 413; 407 that follows same route.

Hwy 413 is a dumb idea, just another way to fill your donor & pal's pockets. Studies indicate it will only save a few minutes, plus there's something called "induced demand", you add capacity & it soon fills up, creating a vicious circle @fordnation

I recently visited the site of Highway 413, where work is already well underway as we prepare to start construction next year! Crews are on site, drilling and testing the soil, and they’re already designing bridges and interchanges as they map out the best route forward. I have been avoiding Nakuru- Eldoret highway by using Nakuru- Ravine - Nyaru- Eldoret route and this Sunday I decided to try the highway, that highway is ripe for expansion because the number of times you avoid an accident is uncountable, vehicles are just on brakes and you will never miss an accident along that route. This highway scheme will INCREASE gridlock and only make your commute worse. We need to build homes people can afford in the communities they love, close to where they work, not more expensive sprawl.
