A golfer’s ability to use the ground effectively is critical for maintaining dynamic posture and avoiding swing characteristics like early extension. In order to prevent the pelvis from moving closer to the target line on the downswing, golfers must push aggressively against the ground with their lead leg, both down (vertical force) and away (anterior-posterior force). One of our favorite strategies for helping a golfer develop a feel of creating these forces is a series of medical ball throws. By cueing athletes to focus on the timing and direction of their ground reaction forces, we can teach them to “use their legs to drive their arms” and avoid thrusting towards the ball. Do you need to worry about your food order to limit post meal glucose responses? 🤔 This idea of the importance of food order got popularized by Laura Menninger who has made a name for herself by fear mongering NORMAL post meal glucose excursions. She makes it seem like these short term excursions will cause long term harm First, there’s no evidence to support that short term glucose responses produce negative long term outcomes. In fact, based on her logic, you shouldn’t eat fat since fat intake impedes flow mediated dilation in the short term and FMD is a risk factor for heart disease. Also by her logic you can’t eat protein because protein acutely stimulates mTOR which is elevated in many cancers She cites the same short term study in support of food order (PMID: 26106234) & while it did show eating veggies & protein 1st produced less glucose & insulin area under the curve (AUC) if you actually READ the full text you can see they only measured out to 3 hours & while the starchy carb 1st group had a higher spike in glucose, it also was coming down at a greater rate & appeared to be approaching baseline faster than the group that ate protein & veggies 1st). I’m not convinced the AUC would have been different if they had measured out to 6 hours To that end, the same researcher who conducted the short term study conducted the first longer term (16 weeks)HUMAN randomized control trial examining the effect of the same food order on long term glycemic control & insulin sensitivity. Surprise surprise, the study showed no differences in glycemia or glucose tolerance by changing food order like she suggests (PMID: 37892527). HbA1c was slightly lower in veggie/pro 1st but it was not significant nor was it clinically relevant as it was a minuscule difference. There were no differences in ANY markers of glycemic assessed based on food order That said, it appears the people who ate veggies & protein 1st, may have eaten slightly less, & so modifying food order may still be useful to help control appetite but it doesn’t work for the reasons Laura Menningers promotes… it works because people are less hungry & eat less Energy balance wins again 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hazel Crest Police Officer Given Training After Jason Young Use-of-Force Incident On Valentine’s Day 2026 in Hazel Crest, Illinois, Uber driver Jason Young stopped at a Walgreens to help a passenger withdraw cash from an ATM. The machine took the money and malfunctioned. Walgreens employees reported to police that Young damaged the ATM. Young denied the claim, stating he was only trying to resolve the issue with the machine, which continued to make noise as if dispensing cash but displayed “out of order.” Officers responded to the disturbance call. Bodycam video shows an officer entering without identifying himself, immediately slamming Young to the ground, and handcuffing him while Young repeatedly asked what he had done wrong. Outcome: Young was uncuffed at the scene, told to leave, and never charged with any crime. Uber investigated and found no wrongdoing by Young. Hazel Crest Police conducted an internal investigation. It determined the officer’s use of force and interaction were not consistent with department policies. “Nose down, you have altitude to work with” even though you´re at 1000 feet… with a C-Galaxy! This is a section from a USAF video detailing a C-5 Galaxy “Airplane Upset Recovery” over Diego Garcia. Includes the CVR sound, so volume up. [Note especially the female voice; she was crucial that they ended up like big black hole on the ground] Even though the graphics are crude by today´s standards, they give a pretty good idea of how close this was to a disaster. Turning video into humanoid robot motion! 🤳🏼 Training humanoid robots needs huge amounts of motion data, but real-world capture doesn’t scale. Mocap is expensive, dangerous edge cases are rare, and you can’t ask humans to repeatedly fall or crash. Video2Robot tackles this by converting videos into physics-grounded humanoid simulations. Motion is generated to respect balance, inertia, ground contact, and joint limits, then directly retargeted to robot simulators. One prompt can generate a full humanoid motion sequence, including multi-agent interactions and failure cases like falls or collisions, scenarios that are hard or impossible to capture safely in the real world. The pipeline is model-agnostic and works with existing video generators, making it a practical way to scale data for robots. If robots are going to operate in the real world, they need to be trained on the failures too, not just the perfect demos. Object 478BEM1 (T-80UD) in Arizona, USA. Likely en route from the Yuma Test Range, 2025. The vehicles were supplied as T-80UD but are upgraded T-84 (Oplot). Video source ( Due to insufficient funding, full-fledged units equipped with T-84 tanks (Object 478DU9), adopted by the Ukrainian army under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 237-5 dated 08.02.2000, could not be formed. Only a pilot batch of 10 tanks was produced and delivered to the troops. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense lacked funds for a lump-sum payment for Oplot production, so payments were made in installments. Part of the amount was covered by Ukrspetsexport per agreement with the Ministry. Consequently, four tanks, paid for by Ukrspetsexport, became its property and were sold to the USA in 2004 for the Aberdeen Proving Ground in modified configurations (three as Object 478BEM with Drozd-1 active protection system and one with an air conditioner). In 2020, to maintain the operability of its T-80UDs, the USA purchased 6TD-2E engines from Ukrspetsexport, along with 49 Kombat missiles and GD-1 aerosol grenades.

Chaired a Video Conference today with all Officers of and above the rank of SI of Police across the state, reviewing compliance on instructions issued during our earlier VC held on 30.05.2026. Regular review at every level remains central to how we function. Today's session was aimed at taking stock of implementation on the ground from Visible Policing and technology adoption to enforcement priorities and ensuring our earlier directives are being followed in letter and spirit. The Video Conference was attended by DGs of Law & Order, CID, Technical Services, Organization, and Home Guards & Operations; Chairman TSLPRB along with Chairman i/c Training; Directors of TGPA, EAGLE, CSB & FSL; Addl. DGPs of Intelligence and TGSP Bns; Inspectors General of Personnel, P&L, Railway & Road Safety, and SIB; IGs of Multi Zone-I and Multi Zone-II; IG P&L i/c Welfare; all Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police; DIGs of CI Cell & Coordination; and SP Legal. We’ve gone critical. At 12:20 am on July 4th, Aalo sustained a controlled fission chain reaction for the first time. We have officially surpassed the goal of President Trump’s Executive Order 14301, achieving 4 advanced nuclear reactor criticalities by America’s 250th birthday. This is a zero-power criticality to validate our supply chain, reactor physics and control systems for our 10 MWe full-powered reactor, the Aalo-X, targeting power operations next year. Everything was built at full scale: fuel, moderator, control systems, etc., so we understand system performance at its commercial scope. That also meant tackling four of the most difficult things in nuclear with this criticality milestone: ✅ Ground-up construction of our reactor facility ✅ Manufacturing the reactor in our factory and shipping them by road ✅ Assembling our own fuel assemblies using commercial UO2 ✅ Standing up training, safety, and operational programs to become our own nuclear operator I am proud to say we have accomplished all four goals, along with achieving criticality. The reactor building was constructed in 36 days and construction to criticality was achieved in under 8 months. That’s the fastest nuclear build in the last 80 years.
