Ex-Google Officer: "AI won't hit blue-collar workers first. It's coming for junior knowledge work. The world economy has never seen a change like this." Gawdat is right about the direction, but everyone misses the gap. AI is coming for junior knowledge work. Fine. Except junior isn't a cost, it's the stage where a senior is made. The judgment someone signs off with doesn't fall from the sky. It's forged on a thousand boring junior tasks. Cut that rung and in a decade there's no one left to approve what the model spits out. So who produces the senior once there's nothing left to make one from?

"20 years inside Google" ...is Boot Camp. "people who adapt fastest will have an advantage" Personal takeaways, that hits home with me. If you can survive this, ...you can survive anything. Not an easy task. No doubt, he's burnt. God bless him.

that's a wake-up call for sure

Routine knowledge work is the most exposed

most people will read this then keep using search and spreadsheets the same way

it's wild how the predictions kept missing this angle for so long tbh

No one has been more impressed with AI’s ability to create a website than that guy

This is wild! Imagine a world where junior jobs vanish overnight. The hustle just got real. How do we prepare for this?

ハイテクノロジーの進化は疑いなく私たちの仕事に影響を及ぼすでしょう。速やかに適応しましょう。

the call center argument misses something: those jobs already got offshored for pennies on the dollar and they're still here if cost alone killed roles, this would've happened 15 years ago. turns out enterprises move slow and customers still escalate to humans when things break

技術革新は急速に進んでいます。準備は大切です。

Technology hysteria through the ages: trains will drive you mad, nuclear will ignite the atmosphere, grey goo will consume us, now AI takes all knowledge work. The economy adapts.

Routine clerical roles face the biggest risks. Shifting mindset actively helps stay competitive.

20 years inside Google watching industries get reshaped and Mo Gawdat says junior knowledge work is first. Not blue collar. Not factories. The people who thought a degree was a shield are about to find out it wasn't.

the survival question is: are you someone who uses the tools, or someone who builds with them? junior roles that execute defined tasks are the most exposed. but the ones who understand systems, can prompt well, can evaluate AI output critically — those roles are morphing, not disappearing. the people adapting fastest are treating AI like a multiplier, not a shortcut.

World economy is getting turned upside down, fast

And its AWFUL You thought customer service was bad before?

what a viewchanging talk, thanks!

人々はAIに警戒しなければならない。低学歴の仕事が危険だ。さあ、成長しよう!

this is actually alpha content X hasn't seen anything like this yet
