Copepods, could stop climate change 5 gigatons of these 1mm-sized zooplankton called COPEPODS live in all the world’s Oceans. This is equivalent to 17 million 747 jets, and if you laid the jets end to end, they would go around the planet 31 times. The copepods migrate from around 200m below the ocean surface every night to feed on plants (phytoplankton) at the surface. It is the greatest mass migration of animals on the planet, and it happens twice a day. The vertical motion of the copepods moves just about as much water as the moon and the tides. The copepods eat 30 times more carbon than humanity generates from burning fossil fuels, and about 6%, or 3 gigatons, of their dead bodies and poop end up in the world’s largest carbon bank, the Abyss. The Abyss contains 500m to 1000’s of meters thick layer of organic carbon / mineral sludge with an area greater area than dry land on the planet. Yet humanity has wiped out more than 50% of marine plankton productivity over the last 70 years due to chemical and particle pollution. We have also wiped out 50% of Arctic krill, which are just as important. and we are now even contemplating dredging the ocean floor! We would not have had climate change if we had not poisoned and destroyed most of the world’s oceans. By 2045, the destruction will be complete unless we act now to stop the inevitable annihilation of nature and life on Earth. Let’s put things into perspective, in comparison to protecting nature, carbon mitigation, windmills and electric cars are almost a joke. This fact absolutely shatters evolution. ...And makes the intelligent design in Life certain. All the systems in Life that make things function - like everything that enables birds to fly - require a whole set of complex interconnected parts. Nothing works in isolation. Something evolutionists overlook is how the nature of all these systems are intricately interconnected. Every part relies on something else to make it work. You need the whole system, down to the DNA itself, or the function fails. This coordinattion between so many systems makes step-by-step evolution all but impossible. For instance... A wing isn’t just bones and feathers (or membrane). A wing requires a certain type of hollow bones, which the alleged ancestors of birds didn't have. And wings by themselves are useless - what reproductive benefit would wings have without the accompanying systems that lead to actual flight (the simultaneous requirements for bone pneumatization, muscle attachment sites, feather or membrane development, and the regulatory changes that control all of them)? Wings without these features would be harmful. Hollow bones without flight would be detrimental. The step-by-step path leading from non-bird to flying birds is filled with easily killed, unselectable intermediates. This is where evolutionists constantly fail - they look at modification in isolation, without considering that these systems are large, interconnected networks of functional parts all working together. And it all starts at the genetic level, from the DNA itself. DNA genes code for proteins. Regulatory information organizes when these proteins are built and how much should be made. Further regulatory systems coordinate where these proteins go after they’re built. And yet more informational networks place the proteins into the final system in coordination with other proteins. Then these protein systems are fit together to make entire organs, tissues, bones, etc. All of these systems and processes are coordinated from the DNA - which means major modification like turning a fish fin into a bird wing requires many coordinated DNA changes across the entire network. One change at a time simply cannot lead to the coordination of an entire multi-part coordinated system like this. A mutation that changes one protein would need another coordinated mutation to fit that mutated protein into the right place, which would require other proteins to be mutated to fit together into that system, which would also require yet more regulatory mutations to keep everything coordinated... Nothing works in isolation. It's all connected. Which is why it can't evolve one step at a time. One step at a time does nothing. Life requires all or nothing systems. Only intelligence can engineer all or nothing systems.

There's a bacteriophage that turns bacteria into “liquid crystals.” Specifically, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria make Pf phages, which are rod-shaped, negatively-charged, and measure about 2 micrometers in length (roughly the length of an E. coli cell). These phages leave the cells and enter their surroundings. There, they mix with polymers, also secreted by the cells, to form a crystalline matrix. Surprisingly, this is good for the cells. Although the phages kill some of them, it also makes their biofilms stickier and able to withstand certain antibiotics. These bacteria + phages are prevalent in cystic fibrosis patients; they've formed a sort of symbiotic relationship. The Pf phages are made from thousands of repeating copies of a coat protein, called CoaB, which wraps around a single-stranded, circular DNA genome. These genes are integrated directly on the bacterial chromosome. The bacteria “turn on” these phage genes when placed in a viscous environment with low oxygen levels. This is like a trigger to start forming a biofilm. And the cells make a lot of phages; about 100 billion per milliliter. These liquid crystals form because of a physics principle called “depletion attraction.” If you just mix a bunch of loose or flexible polymers together (such as long carbon chains) they will not form a liquid crystal. But if you mix stiff rods (the phages) with loose polymers at a high enough concentration, the polymers will force the phages close together to create a material that flows like a liquid despite being ordered like a crystal. See the video below. These liquid crystal biofilms are hard to get rid of. The negatively-charged phages block many antibiotics (like aminoglycosides, which are positively-charged) from entering cells. Liquid crystals also retain water, so these biofilms can survive on drier surfaces. I first heard about this from Malmesbury’s excellent newsletter, called “Telescopic Turnip.”

These phages leave the cells and enter their surroundings. There, they mix with polymers, also secreted by the cells, to form a crystalline matrix. Surprisingly, this is good for the cells. Although the phages kill some of them, it also makes their biofilms stickier and able to withstand certain antibiotics. These bacteria + phages are prevalent in cystic fibrosis patients; they've formed a sort of symbiotic relationship. The Pf phages are made from thousands of repeating copies of a coat protein, called CoaB, which wraps around a single-stranded, circular DNA genome. These genes are integrated directly on the bacterial chromosome. The bacteria “turn on” these phage genes when placed in a viscous environment with low oxygen levels. This is like a trigger to start forming a biofilm. And the cells make a lot of phages; about 100 billion per milliliter. These liquid crystals form because of a physics principle called “depletion attraction.” If you just mix a bunch of loose or flexible polymers together (such as long carbon chains) they will not form a liquid crystal. But if you mix stiff rods (the phages) with loose polymers at a high enough concentration, the polymers will force the phages close together to create a material that flows like a liquid despite being ordered like a crystal. See the video below. These liquid crystal biofilms are hard to get rid of. The negatively-charged phages block many antibiotics (like aminoglycosides, which are positively-charged) from entering cells. Liquid crystals also retain water, so these biofilms can survive on drier surfaces. I first heard about this from Malmesbury’s excellent newsletter, called “Telescopic Turnip.”

I recorded this on a bike somewhere in Ondo State yesterday, and it really gave me an insight into why crimes like kidnapping can thrive in certain areas. As far as the eyes could see, there were vast stretches of land with little or no human presence. It made me realize just how much of Nigeria remains largely unoccupied compared to the areas where people are concentrated. At the same time, Lagos is bursting at the seams with people, traffic, and development, while many other states have huge expanses of land and relatively small populations. It got me thinking: is part of our security challenge linked to how unevenly our population and development are distributed? With so much land lying idle across the country, what can the government realistically do to make these areas safer, more productive, and more attractive for people and businesses? I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts Meanwhile, the bike trip took 20 km of riding for ₦5,000 as there was no public vehicle going that way.

I remember about a year ago when I first started speaking out about what is happening to our country. I had a British born Muslim in my inbox threatening to “cut my head off like Lee Rigby”. Saying the usual things I often see them say: “We have infiltrated every level of your society from law, education to politics”. “I was born here and we’re going nowhere”. “This is our country now”. “Where are your big hard football hooligans now?” I can remember feeling truly defeated because I knew he was right. I knew how many were born here who hate us that were stuck with and many more are coming. He knew it and I knew it too. But it makes me proud to see that people are fighting back. I would love to see his thoughts on all of this now 😂 I know many more think like him too and they will be absolutely raging. They thought we were easy. They mistook our niceness for weakness and thought we would stay silent for ever. Our people conquered the world. Never underestimate the spirit of the British people. They could never conquer us. The only reason they have come close is because our government allowed them here and spoon fed them. So if we have to take on the government too then it must me done 🇬🇧

From a Canadian firefighter who knows what’s going on: #canada #wildfire #smoke (Worth the read) “I know you may know, but people need to know and understand that most Canadian wildfire management agencies have fire “zonation” policies similar to Alaska. This means in large areas of their jurisdictions, especially in the northern part of the country, wildfires are left to run there natural course w little or no direct action or suppression. We’ll protect values at risk, ie. infrastructure, communities, critical habitat or culturally significant features on the landscape, we’ll map them and maybe try to burn them to natural barrier, fight one flank and let the rest roll (limited action) but we are not putting them out. On many of the fires we don’t even try. A number of these fires are huge boreal gobblers (I am currently assigned to a 250,000 ha fire, well over 600,000 acres and you could fit the org. chart on one side of a beer can). The only thing that is going to put out this fire out and many across the country is winter, 5 months from now. It’s going to be a long, smoky summer for everyone. You have a wide reach, it would be great if you can help people understand these dynamics in the Canadian wildfire scene when they’re bitching about the smoke. While we are cooking food for thousands of stray dogs and it’s magical to see how many of them now come directly to the kitchen for their share. While we prepare the meals, they patiently sit inside and outside, as if they know their food is on the way. Look at this furry fellow, constantly observing the preparation. It almost feels like he’s auditing the process, giving signals to the other dogs that everything is going well and food will soon be served. Black African “migrants”, illegals, economic opportunists, whatever fashionable euphemism the Brussels set prefers this week, hurling a shopping trolley off an overpass onto a busy EU highway, straight into the path of lorries and cars doing seventy. One wrong twitch, one split-second of distraction, and that’s families obliterated, drivers turned into statistics. What the hell are they playing at? This isn’t some jolly misunderstanding between cultures. This is raw contempt for the society that’s been forced to accommodate them. They don’t care. Not about the lives below, not about the rules of any civilised order, not about the country that’s given them sanctuary they never earned. They treat the infrastructure of Europe like their personal playground for mischief and malice. A shopping cart becomes a weapon. Next time it’ll be a breeze block, or worse. And the authorities? They’ll wring their hands, mutter about “integration challenges,” and carry on importing more. This is the death rattle of multiculturalism, laid bare for anyone still pretending it works. We were told diversity would enrich us, vibrant new neighbours bringing “spice” to our streets and innovation to our economies. What we got instead was parallel societies, no-go zones, and now this: deliberate sabotage of the arteries that keep a nation moving. The native peoples of these islands, and of the continent, built these motorways, these bridges, these societies. We maintained the peace, the trust, the high-trust order that lets strangers pass each other without calculating escape routes. Mass immigration from incompatible places has shattered that. It has imported low-trust, high-violence mindsets that see our generosity as weakness to be exploited. England and the British Isles don’t need lectures on tolerance from people who’d never tolerate this in their own ancestral homelands. We need to put our own first, our safety, our culture, our children’s future. End the experiment that’s bleeding us dry and endangering our people. No more excuses. How much more do the decent, law-abiding natives have to endure before the political class admits the bleeding obvious: diversity, as practised, has failed. Catastrophically. Today, I visited one of our combat brigades at the Zaporizhzhia frontline, which uses American High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS. Our guys are very open about these systems, and they are extremely grateful to the United States for providing them. HIMARS are a prime example of superior, highly precise, effective, and dependable American weapons. Without such long-range missiles, Russia would have killed hundreds of thousands more Ukrainians. Having the means to protect themselves from Russian terror is a matter of life and death for the Ukrainian people. HIMARS were critical in defending the Kherson region against the Russians. They also helped to thwart the Russian offensive on Sumy earlier this year. They are now assisting in the defense of the most difficult areas of the Donetsk frontline against Russian assaults. If we had not had these and other powerful long-range weapons, the Russians would have captured and destroyed many more Ukrainian cities and villages. Long-range capabilities prevent loss of life. It is one thing to lose munitions and missiles in order to stop the occupiers, but it is another to lose lives as a result of a lack of such defense capabilities. We are grateful to the United States for its assistance in reducing our loss of life. Strengthening positions is key to guaranteed peace. Russian bullies can only be deterred and forced to accept peace through strength. And such peace through strength is attainable.
