Official Experimental VR Support Now in Star Citizen! Silvan joined our Discord & mentioned that he worked at CIG, was an engine engineer and was really passionate about VR and wanted to bring VR support to Star Citizen. A couple years later, him and a small team of other engineers with CIG have built out a first experimental release of VR support in the game that you can try now!. It’s absolutely incredible even now to see that vast, detailed world as if you were there. Be sure to give feedback in their community as the experience will continue to be built out with feedback.

OK I added a few new settings to UUVR and now PEAK is basically fully playable in VR with just a config file. Dirty workaround for the UI, but I managed to climb up to the first campfire in VR in just over a minute! I promise this footage has not been altered in any way.

This is a first look and beginner guide to Dolphin XR, the revival of DolphinVR rebuilt for modern VR in 2026. In this early test, we go through the basic setup, how to get games running in OpenXR, and the first steps to start experimenting with VR controls and configurations. Half Life Alyx is incredible. I've never seen visuals this good in VR, not even on the PSVR2, everything is so detailed and interactive in ways that I've never experienced in a game before. This HAS to be experienced to really be understood, mindblowing level of immersion.

I always wondered what the use case for VR glasses would be. Now I know. In 2025, Genie 3 gave us our first glimpse of how the holodeck or fictional matrix will be generated. In the future, games will not be developed—they will be generated on demand. You will be able to immerse yourself in worlds. Put on your VR glasses and say where you want to be. Immerse yourself in other worlds out of nowhere—whatever and wherever you want. I never expected this to become reality so quickly.
