This explanation is adding up to the fact that the architect deserves a national recognition

Love the story of these survivors, but the AI videos are such BS, the buidings next to this literally also survived but wasn’t tall enough. They weren’t in the main wave flow.

No house could have withstood the force of the rushing water, no matter how sturdily it was built; everything has survived only by the grace of God. There must be a devotee in this house who called out for help.

I don’t believe this. Do you? What about the God factor?

Three things that made the building to survive: 1. The God factor 2. The good architectural factor 3. The good materials factor Conclusion: It doesn't mean that the building is the strongest along that path, it survived due to these three factors

The wise man built his house upon the rock, and the house on the rock stood fast. Reminds me of this old song….

What about the chinese border crossing building, are you saying they didn’t have steel rebars or columns? It was also much larger structure and it was wiped down in seconds

#Nepal #floods. Oh Lord, have mercy, hear our cry, No home, no family, beneath the sky. All that we loved is swept away, Give us hope and strength today. An emotional Nepali schoolgirl said: "When I go home from school, I have no home, no family, everything is gone."

Not pure luck, but God Almighty, Yahweh spared this property and those in it. Almighty God has a purpose for all his people & he spared this home for his reasons. No such thing as luck or human works which are easily put to nothing. Jesus washes the sins of the world away Amen 🙏

@MangoDelicious3 Someone must have prayed to Jesus, for only He can save.

That’s not the fact. Actually, a Low Pressure Area was formed with this green house as the centre/eye of the storm/eddy. So the central area would hv the least impact.

Water levels are rising at the Kosi Barrage on the Saptakoshi River near the Nepal-India border, and the floodwaters are approaching India.

What was more unbeliveable was that the family stayed within the house even when death was right at their doorstep standing 200ft tall

This video is a load of shit. It got lucky and was probably shielded by multiple other structures or terrain. Nothing to do with how the building was built, look at the border crossing building for example. Luck

This house somehow survived that terrifying flash flood. Whoever built it deserves serious praise for the strength and resilience of this structure.

Engineers have releases their drawings. This is the new standard for building in debris flow areas:

The homes position relative to the flow absolutely contributed. But reinforced concrete explains nothing. I watched that flood level a multistory concrete building and a parking garage like it was pillow fort. Get outta here with this crap.

The video clearly shows it wasn't hit directly by flood waters...just the whirlpools ... Previous houses took all the impact... Pure luck...

Not an expert. But I feel surrounding buildings bore the maximum impact. This house was filled with mud on ground floor. So that may have added more weight on the structure and strengthened it.
