"Dammit" is from Blink-182's 1997 album Dude Ranch. The fast-paced pop-punk anthem became the band's breakthrough hit, reaching #11 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and helping define the late '90s pop-punk explosion. Written by Mark Hoppus after a breakup with his girlfriend, the song perfectly captures the awkwardness of young adulthood. Its original title was "Dammit (Growing Up)", but the subtitle was later dropped, and the catchy line "Well, I guess this is growing up" became one of Blink-182's most iconic lyrics.
