Josh Barnett reveals his reasoning for ending Bloodsport: “I wasn’t trying to make a big deal out of it. I didn’t want it to come off as a gimmick. There were a lot of conflicting feelings within my own heart about whether this was going to be the case or not. When all is said and done, I feel like I absolutely made the right choice here. It wasn’t for anything negative. There wasn’t a tragedy, and there wasn’t some overarching bad issue or problem in that sense. For me, Bloodsport had an evolution of where it was trying to get to, and we’re just not there—we’re not close. For me, it was better to end it now than to keep going and, quite possibly, diminish what the product is.”

Did you know ‘Here I Go Again’ was actually released in 1982 and didn’t chart at all? Original version said, “Like a hobo I was born to walk alone”. Whitesnake made some changes to the song and re-released it in 1987 which made it a #1 song. Here’s the original version….

“This recording is still hard for me to listen to. I had really bad tonsillitis when recording this. This recording is the demo. And we couldn’t recreate the magic. I was sick but I was in the eye of the storm in my heartbreak during this record. It was me, daydreaming about telling the man I loved that I had been in love with him for so long. This song gave me the confidence to actually face him.”

Bono and The Edge wrote “She’s a Mystery to Me” for Roy Orbison. The song was recorded for Orbison’s 1989 album Mystery Girl, which was released posthumously. Bono woke up with the melody in his head during The Joshua Tree Tour in 1987, initially thinking it was an Orbison song. He later played it for Orbison backstage at a U2 concert in Wembley Arena, and they collaborated to complete it. The song is filled with some of Bono’s finest Biblical imagery, such as “Am I left to burn, and burn eternally?” 🎥: Rare live performance under the Brooklyn Bridge, 2005

ROSALÍA explained to “Tu Música Hoy” why she decided to include “De Madrugada” on her album “LUX.” “The song ‘De Madrugada’ has existed for years. It came about while I was practicing in the studio, but at the time it didn’t fit into the context of a specific album, so I put it aside. I tried writing a lyric, but it didn’t feel complete, so I left it aside during the El Mal Querer tour. When I started working on this album, I felt it was the right moment to bring it back and commit to finishing it. For me, it was important to fully complete each song, unlike previous works where I sometimes deconstructed songs without fully finishing an idea. ‘De Madrugada’ represents this commitment to music and the creative process, something I always try to maintain in constant production and practice.”

This is so crazy looking back… the concept of using an unreleased song (that stayed unleaked for the next 5 years) for just a TRAILER is unheard of. It would make sense if Life Is Beautiful was in the movie but it wasn’t so the whole thing is sooo odd. Also I love this song sm

“Memories” is such a beautiful song. It’s feels like an old standard. Billy Strange and Mac Davis wrote it for Elvis’ 1968 television special, during the time Mac was signed to our company B-n-B Music (Boots-n-Billy). The guys were asked to write a song about looking back and the song came together in just one night. I recorded “Memories” for my album Nancy. The record didn’t get a lot of attention when it was released in 1969, so these kind words from Record Collector really mean a lot. Thank you. ❤️ Pick up Light InThe Attic Records’ definitive reissue of Nancy from Nancy’s Bootique. 🛍️

Madison Beer explains why her standalone single “15 MINUTES” isn’t on ‘locket’: “I love that song, but when I was putting the album together, it just didn’t feel right to me in a weird way. No shade to the song, because it basically opens my show. It just felt too intense, maybe that’s the word. ‘yes baby’ and ‘make you mine’ were enough of that. It could’ve also been on the deluxe, but I was trying not to fill the deluxe tracklist with an old song.”

💿 Today at Stationhead DJ Snake DJ SNAKE mentioned the work on the song In The Dark and and meeting with #FELIX — So, you know, like. Like, everybody knows we met in Paris, and me and Felix were talking, and the rest of the boys were, like, very shy. And Felix was there. The only one who came to me and talked to me. And, you know we kept it like talking and I was like, you know, I gotta send you some stuff, some ideas. And I was finishing the album, and last minute, I sent the beat for in the Dark, and the boys record it. The next day. the next day they went to the studio record, and right away, that was the song. I was really impressed because they work very fast, and they sounded crazy
