Let’s be clear: Tower Hamlets only raises around £100m a year from council tax. A 5% rise brings in about £5m. They could have avoided this entirely by cutting just 1–2% from their spending on consultants etc over the last few years. Instead, they’re reaching straight into residents’ pockets. Actively campaigning to be MPs, not for Tower Hamlets, not even for the UK, but for Bangladesh. And yes, they’re still being paid their £20,000 councillor salary while doing it. That’s the equivalent of a very comfortable six-figure income in Bangladesh, paid for by local taxpayers here. It gets worse. The councillor in question is meant to be responsible for scrutiny. Well she isn’t scrutinising much from Bangladesh is she?! And then people act surprised when this council is drowning in scandal: ❌ Finances don’t add up ❌ Contracts that don’t exist ❌ Procurement rules being bypassed These people genuinely do not care about local residents. I don’t particularly like politics. I don’t really like politicians. And I don’t particularly like political parties
 
But I’m coming to the conclusion that if I don’t fix this, no one will.

Seriously, what’s going on in Tower Hamlets. ❌ An MP who has claimed over £1 million in expenses, earns close to £100k a year, and still lives in a council house she has admitted she doesn’t need
 all while 20,000 local residents sit on the housing waiting list ❌ The councillor responsible for scrutiny living in Bangladesh, not scrutinising anything, but still collecting a taxpayer-funded salary ❌ A mayor previously banned from politics for five years for corrupt and illegal practices ❌ And now my own local councillor - a 50-year-old - charged in connection with alleged attempts to interfere in a rape case involving a 16-year-old girl I don’t know about you, but I’m utterly sick of this. And who is going to fix it? I personally don’t trust any of the existing politicians in Tower Hamlets to fix this mess. So I’m coming to the conclusion that I’m going to have to fix it myself.

They have not been able to pass their audit cleanly since tax credits were introduced in 2003/04 due to material levels of fraud and error. Look at the state of our public sector: ❌ HMRC has failed audit for 20+ years ❌ DWP has failed audit for 37 years ❌ The Cabinet Office can’t provide evidence for £7 BILLION of spending. These are the institutions that take your money, spend your money and tell you there isn’t enough of it. If any normal organisation failed its audit year after year, there would be consequences. In government, it just carries on. And then they tell you taxes need to go up.

🚹 Is Apsana Begum MP a massive hypocrite? She brands herself as a socialist who wants to tax the rich. Yet despite earning close to £100,000 a year for the past seven years as an MP, she is still living in a council house. Even more awkward - Tower Hamlets Council’s own rules say you’re not eligible for a council property if you earn over £90,000. She earns more than that. But apparently those rules don’t apply if your name is Apsana Begum. Meanwhile, over 20,000 people in Tower Hamlets are stuck on the housing waiting list - families in genuine need, with no alternatives. She has even admitted she doesn’t need the property anymore, yet still won’t give it up. And just to round things off, she has claimed over £1 million in parliamentary expenses since becoming an MP. Funny how the people who want to tax “the rich” never seem to mean themselves. By her own standards, this is pure hypocrisy. And unfortunately, for now at least, she’s still my MP.

🚹COUNCIL TAX EXPOSED!! A couple of years ago, someone spoke on the phone to Stevenage Magistrates Court and they confirmed that North Herts Council print their own “Court” summons. The court admits that the council use their own software to produce a court summons. Every letter that they receive which looks like it’s from the magistrates court, is in fact directly from the local councils. No magistrate signs the court summons. She then goes on to say, that the council do all their own administration, the council rent a room off the court. SHE admits that these questions are coming up a lot when it comes to the legality of the court summons. She also admits that the council are committing mass fraud by printing a magistrates court headed letter. She also admits it’s the same with liability orders. There you go, folks right from the horses mouth, admitting that court summons and liability orders do not come from a magistrates court. They come from the councils own software. The corrupt local councils have been running fraudulent STAR CHAMBERS, basically renting a room within the courts & processing illegal summons & fake liability orders. It’s all a complete fraud upon WE THE PEOPLE. COUNCIL TAX IS UNLAWFUL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL. THE WHOLE COUNCIL TAX IS A MASSIVE SCAM!
