Cream = Real dairy cream (actual milk fat) Creme = NOT the same at all — it's usually vegetable oil + sugar + flavours (palm oil based, cheaper, longer shelf life). Brands deliberately use “Creme” spelling because FSSAI rules don’t allow them to call non-dairy stuff “Cream”. Classic loophole. Always check the ingredients list — if you see “palm oil” or “veg fat”, it’s creme, not cream!

Créme is literally the French word for cream. That's it. Saying Créme means vegetable oil is not correct. (Someone making "créme" out of vegetable oil is a different thing and they can call it cream also)
