Miley Cyrus says EMDR therapy changed her life. She did the train visualization thing, watching her memories pass by like a movie in her mind, and after the first session, her stage fright was completely gone. Never came back. She also realized the intense need to be loved that she’d been carrying wasn’t even fully hers… it was her mom’s. She’d been holding it for her. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that helps your brain reprocess traumatic or painful memories using guided eye movements so they stop having such a strong emotional grip on you. Sometimes the heaviest things we carry aren’t even ours, they’re just emotions we inherited from the people we love.

🚨🚨WOW! This is absolutely amazing to see that Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel have won the Nobel prize in medicine for their optogenetic research! Visual optogenetics is a therapeutic modality that uses Gene Therapy to deliver a light-sensitive protein to cells in the retina. This mechanism of entering light to the eye can then stimulate these cells to produce a visual signal that is sent to the brain and thus “overriding” the retinal cells and to restore vision to vision impaired patients. This mechanism is already in clinical development and the most advanced optogenetic therapy is currently Nanoscope Therapeutics’ MOGENRY (formally known MCO-010) - an Optogenetic Gene Therapy aimed to restore vision in Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) patients with a severe vision loss which is waiting for an FDA approval! Absolutely amazing!

Patrick Clancy says he’s been doing a form of rapid eye movement therapy, commonly used to treat PTSD, to help him process the traumatic memories. "They put you right back in that place that you've been trying to avoid for years. And you face it head-on. And it's unpleasant, but they get you used to dealing with that. And eventually you're better at processing it," Clancy explains. “It was like a miracle.”

Bookmark and practice any time you need to self regulate. Our vagus nerve runs through the neck. Stretching your neck and using your eye movement sends a powerful signal of safety to the body. Your body will start to naturally release sympathetic (fight or flight energy) and you’ll slowly go into a parasympathetic state. Keep breathing. Repeat on both sides. You’ve just let your body do its magic of self soothing. Share with anyone who teaches, runs therapy groups, works with children, addiction recovery centers or people trying to heal complex trauma.

#WATCH | Delhi: On the rising cases of myopia due to increasing screen time in children and advancements in eye care, Dr. Radhika Tandon, Chief and Professor of Ophthalmology at AIIMS Delhi, says, "...There is research going on to look at the various genetic disorders and any potential in the future for gene therapy and other high-end therapies for people with degenerative disorders. Plus, even the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, a lot of research is still going on. One is using AI-enabled screening systems and also operational research. By operational research, how can we improve patient referral, patient follow-up, patient treatment... This is an unfortunate social trend of giving mobile devices or screens to toddlers... As a result, it is leading to an increase in myopia and problems with dry eye and so on... There can be other means of giving them entertainment, but not near devices."

🚨David Sinclair: “The first potential human age-reversal technology is in people right now.” ROGAN: “What is the current state of science as applied to longevity treatments?” SINCLAIR: “We have a human clinical trial.” ROGAN: “If people get old and we understand the mechanism, why couldn’t we reverse it?” SINCLAIR: “My colleagues and I found that aging has a root cause that’s the same in pretty much every cell in the body, and that we could control that.” “In 2020, we had a big publication that showed we could actually safely, for the first time, reverse that process, like reinstalling software in the cell to make it work again.” ---- The treatment is ER-100, an experimental epigenetic reprogramming gene therapy being developed by Life Biosciences, a company co-founded by Harvard geneticist Dr. David Sinclair. In the current FDA clinical trial, the therapy is delivered by injection into the eye. If this works in humans, it could be a major step toward actually reversing aspects of biological aging rather than simply slowing them down. Joe Rogan David Sinclair

First-in-Human cases with ViewFlex™ SE + EnSite™ X v5 at #ArrhythmiaResearchGroup Group and St. Bernards Healthcare as part of ViewFlex SE Trial. Pushing the boundaries of EP workflows with the first clinical use of the Abbott Cardiovascular ViewFlex™ SE ICE catheter, now paired with AI-assisted map creation, Grid Mapping, and real-time Contact Assessment using Farapulse and PulseSelect PFA systems. Some of the features that caught my eye: Physician-ready geometry with EnSite Echo Simplified ICE navigation to stay focused on therapy Single-handed deflection via auto-locking mechanism Color-coded deflection indicators for intuitive control Softer, more stable catheter with enhanced torque response Sterile tip-to-connector (no sterile bagging) Single catheter cable = less clutter, more efficiency Contact is critical in PFA — and the new Contact Index on EnSite X v5 lets you validate contact instantly and tag lesions appropriately. Powered by AI. Backed by precision. Designed for EPs. A simplified, smarter, and safer workflow is best workflow ever. #FirstInHuman #ViewFlexSE #AIinHealthcare #ICEIntegration #CatheterInnovation #PFA #MedTechInnovation #epeeps Abbott

Peter Attia's Longevity Routine This is everything Peter Attia does to optimize for longevity (01:06) Peter takes his sleep seriously. He's in bed from 10PM - 6AM, resulting in ~7.5 hours of shut-eye. He uses an Eight Sleep mattress cover. (01:57) Peter's pre-bed routine: Avoid stimulation, brush & floss before using the sauna, shower, then bed. (03:14) Peter's sleep supplement stack: Glycine, ashwagandha, magnesium l-threonate, & magnesium oxide. (03:38) Peter's diet: The #1 thing he pays attention to? Not eating junk. After that, it's all about energy balance & protein intake (40-50g, 4x/day). He also stops eating 3 hours before bed. (05:30) Peter acknowledges the pro-social benefits of alcohol. He has 0-7 drinks per week—but rarely >2 drinks in a day. He also does the drinking early (with dinner), so it doesn't interfere with sleep. (06:34) Peter's weekly exercise routine: 4 hours of zone 2, 1 VO2 max workout, 4 strength training sessions. (07:24) Longevity means nothing without mental health. Peter does 1-2 therapy sessions/week. He also journals regularly.
