WOW! I thought Opus 5 would just be a cheaper Fable. I was dead wrong. This model is absolutely BONKERS. I'm genuinely blown away. Opus 5 built the best Rocket League clone i've ever seen, and it did it while consuming only 27% of my 5x Max sub. Sound on. There's layers to this onion. I'm floored rn. At least for building games and 3D modeling, this has to be the best model in the world by a notable margin. Look at the car. The reflections. The details. Playable game & open source code in the comments.

I re-ran my Fable 5 3D dashboard demo with GLM-5.2. Same prompt. Same reference image. The result is actually pretty solid: 3D globe, route arcs, glass panels, stats cards, and a usable demo page. It is not at Fable 5 level yet, especially in visual precision and one-shot polish. But GLM-5.2 is accessible to all GLM Coding Plan users now. If you’re curious, it’s worth trying. I built a game with Claude Fable 5, and what really surprised me was that Fable automatically generated the rigging-related animations on its own. In the past, I hadn't seen any model capable of creating the animations themselves, not just the assets. As these models become more capable, I think companies like Tripo, Meshy, Hunyuan, and VARCO that specialize in asset creation could become even more valuable. It feels like we're entering an era where assets themselves become the most important form of capital.

I built a game with Claude Fable 5, and what really surprised me was that Fable automatically generated the rigging-related animations on its own. Fable 5 just turned me into an iOS developer. I spent 2 days building a full game with zero code written by hand. The last 10 builds succeeded on the first try. I needed a fun project to test it on, so I decided to make an iOS game. After a few experiments with other ideas, I settled on a runner starring Dario as the main character, called "Credit Runner". Hilarious, I know! In terms of credits spent, my Claude Max plan stands at 36% right now, and this isn't the only project I ran through Fable 5. A few quick notes: - This is just an early prototype, a long way from release, but it's really fun to play! - It's extremely fun to work with Fable 5! - Fable 5 wants to get things done, and it pushes you towards completion much faster than any other model. - Once we established the ground rules, how I wanted the game built, and the overall structure, the last 10 builds were flawless, succeeding on the first try. This is impressive! - All the assets were generated with AI (Magnific and Trippo for the visuals, ElevenLabs for the voices). The only thing that's not AI is the music. I just really liked this track. - There are many rules in the game designed to make it really fun to play, especially the randomness. - There are a lot of visual cues inspired by San Francisco, and I hope you catch them all. - At some point on the first day, I honestly thought I wasn't going to get where I wanted, but Fable pushed me towards the goal, and by the second day it started to deeply understand the project. - The prompts were really long, especially in the beginning, to make sure everything was covered. - Once the app was solid, I tried to pack as many changes as I could into a single prompt to maximize my Fable usage. This was just a fun project, but if anyone wants to play it, I might put the final, much more polished version on the App Store. What do you think? Should I?

GPT-5.6 vs GPT-5.5 on my custom spaceship prompt. I gave both models the exact same custom prompt. This is also the same prompt I previously gave to Fable 5. For context, GPT-5.6 Pro worked for 87 minutes, while GPT-5.5 Extra High worked for 34 minutes and 42 seconds. As I’ve said before, based on great authority GPT-5.6 will be an incremental/soldi improvement over GPT-5.5, not a “Fable killer.” My rough expectation has been that it would trade blows with Fable 5 on some benchmarks, maybe win around half depending on the category, but not clearly surpass it overall. And again fable five will have bigger model smell, but this was expected. After testing this coding output, that view feels pretty accurate. GPT-5.6 is clearly better than GPT-5.5 in several visual areas. The lighting, shading, chairs, object details, and exterior of the spaceship looked noticeably stronger. The scene was also easier to test. I do want to give GPT-5.5 credit though. It built out the rooms much much better and the planets looked better than GPT-5.6’s. It was also interesting that both GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.6 produced better-looking planets than Fable 5 in this specific test. The downside with GPT-5.5 was stability. The game was much glitchier and harder to test compared to GPT-5.6. But when it comes to the core of the demo, which is the spaceship itself, Fable 5 still beat both models pretty comfortably. GPT-5.6 is impressive, but from this test, it looks exactly like what I expected which was a meaningful incremental improvement over GPT-5.5, at least for indie game demos, but not something that replaces Fable 5. Claude Fable 5 has impressive spatial reasoning capabilities that are immediately relevant for engineering and design: In this example I gave Claude Fable 5 a single photo of a hierarchical mesh torus (image generated using a text-to-image model); and in one shot, no iteration, it built a full interactive 3D simulation: ~1,400 nodes & 4,400 fibers, realistic mass–spring physics you can grab, compress, twist… plus strain-based sonification so you can 'hear' the structure vibrate. It inferred the complete 3D topology from a partial 2D view. ⤵️
