Fable NPC system is so sophisticated the devs are calling it a "life simulator" You build reputation through your actions in the game, then each NPC has a different opinion of you based on your reputation. You might have to become a rich business owner to impress and date... one of the NPCs in the game, but another NPC will hate you for being so rich. As a consequence, that NPC could increase the prices on their merchandise when you visit their store. Even small actions such as giving money to the homeless or evicting people out of their houses will impact your reputation, and this can be done at a very large scale, because you could: - Buy every home in the world of Fable - Evict everyone out of their homes - Have every NPC now live on the street Possibilities are quite literally endless hereshow more

To give you a perspective on how advanced the NPC interaction system in GTA VI is going to be, here's a direct comparison between GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 In GTA V, the only option is to greet or insult NPCs depending on the character that you're playing as, in this case here Trevor will insult them. Red Dead Redemption 2 on the other hand has a completely different NPC interaction system where you have the option to greet, antagonize or rob NPCs. These options alone can give you the freedom to greet an NPC first, then immediately antagonize them to allow for different outcomes based on how you choose to interact with NPCs. This alone was a game changer and you can expect Grand Theft Auto VI to have an even more complex NPC interaction system compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, with more dialogue options and different outcomes. Its probably one of the reasons why GTA VI is taking much longer to develop, imagine how many lines of dialogue Rockstar Games had to record and make all of them work seamlessly by the time the game comes out.

I believe this building will have lots of new facilities. I asked your principal, 'Madam, what facilities do you provide?' And she named a whole bunch that even I didn't have in my school. So, I must compliment all of you; you are going to have this AI facility here, which is hopefully going to open even new frontiers and opportunities for you. So use these opportunities well. Your teachers and your parents make a lot of sacrifices for you to be here, to learn, to grow and to have a strong future. We must always respect what other people do for us and respect their participation in making us what we are. By the time you leave school, you may not have a full idea of what your life will be like. What will your future be? But you will have a good idea of who you are going to be as a person for the rest of your life. So, if that idea of yourself can include love for others, can include kindness towards others, can include honesty, can include the worth of working hard for your living and earning without having to cheat or lie, then I think you will be on the right path and you will have a successful and fulfilling life. That is what I wish most for all of you, as I said that this institution develops your heart as much as your mind is developed. And you have the whole world ahead of you. The NPCs have a “cone” of vision in front of them, and depending on how closer you are to the middle of that cone and also how close you are to the front of the NPC, the faster you are detected. It isn’t perfect, by any stretch of the imagination, but it is working and serves it’s purpose. As we advance in development this will both evolve and be refined from its current “primitive” state. Surprisingly hard to get something working that actually feels both fair and fun! I’d love to eventually have them “look” from their eyesight, so height matters. Ignore the ground flashing, unity editor is weird like that.
