They pitched the first games this exact way, and all it amounted to was npcs screaming "Chicken Chaser!" when you walked by. Never believe Fable hype. Wait until you play the game.

Basically, an anti-capitalism social sim where the only NPCs you can win over and romance are ugly as F. All in order to be sure that white male players are never pleased. I wish this abomination could release multiple times, so I can ignore it multiple times.

"They" in every NPC reputation menu. The Fable devs can create an intricate reputation system but cant figure out which NPCs are male or female.

"Possibilities are quite literally endless here" Actually, you listed the single possibility of evicting people. And that's what this game will be like. This "Sim" will be extremely basic. People will discover it's puddle-deep very quickly.

Good and evil alignment was a core part of the fantasy. Now it is just a popularity contest.

I'm afraid my trust has been all used up. Remember when you could watch a trailer and not think "I wonder if they had to pay the team extra to make a chud friendly trailer?" I simply dont believe the game isnt rotten to the core.

If I had a nickel for every time I was promised that Fable would do some amazing thing and then it didn’t, I’d have like a dollar… but that’s still a lot of lies lol

Damn, what a shame I won't be playing it. They probably should have focused on the gameplay and World building and not checkboxes for the woke agenda. Oh well.

Can you rob NPC's ? Is there an actual theft system? Kcd2 set a standard to RPGs and I feel like fable just looks detailed in very specific areas but not as "life sim" as kcd2 was

Man, I’m not even a fable fan and even I can tell that this is bullshit. The wind from is blowing from the barn, and your dumbass is thinking it’s apple pie. No game ever has ever had its NPC‘s be this smart or diverse. Not even Fable, despite how many times they lied it would.

"You can either produce excellence or you can avoid criticism. But you cannot do both of those. The reason that you don't have certain excellence that you want is because you are afraid of getting criticized. You are afraid of the judgment that comes with it. You are afraid of standing out. You are afraid of being alone. You are afraid of people looking at you. You are worried about what people think of you. There are 2 categories of things in this world: 1) Things that are up to you 2) Things that are not up to you Which category does your reputation sit in? Your reputation is not up to you. I'm the one who associates your reputation with something, not you. You just do things. What's up to you? How you act. Your decisions. Your actions. That is up to you. Your reputation is not up to you. Here's how I know that: You all have a reputation about me and it's not in my control. I get to say and do whatever I say and do up here. I am in control of saying it. I am in control of doing it. The moment words leave my lips, who has control over what is done with those words? You! You are in control of what you think of me. And there's no way everybody in this room is going to think the exact same thing about me. No way. When it comes to exceptional, what we've got to understand is you can spend your whole life trying to avoid criticism and earn reputation, and it still won't be in your control. We can waste a lot of time missing out on excellence we could have been producing if we were just simply LESS trying to engineer what we wanted other people to think about us."

New Fable gameplay has officially been released! Here are all the brand New Details about the game: 🔸 Fable combines an open-world RPG with a deep life simulation where players build their own unique life. 🔸 Albion features six diverse regions filled with unique settlements, cultures, and economies. 🔸 More than 1,000 fully voiced NPCs have jobs, routines, relationships, and memories. 🔸 Player choices directly affect story outcomes, relationships, and future opportunities. 🔸 Every action contributes to reputations such as virtuous, kind, rich, shrewd, or criminal. 🔸 The morality system is subjective, with different NPCs judging the same actions differently. 🔸 Players can form relationships, date, marry, start families, or end relationships. 🔸 Nearly every house, shop, and business in Albion can be purchased and managed. 🔸 Players can hire NPCs, influence their lives, and manage business operations. 🔸 Extensive character customization allows players to create a unique Hero appearance. 🔸 NPCs remember player actions and react based on past interactions and reputations. 🔸 Jobs and mini-games, such as blacksmithing, provide income, experience, and reputation growth. 🔸 Crime leads to bounties, legal consequences, and long-lasting effects on reputation. 🔸 Combat allows players to combine strength, skill, and magic into their own fighting style. 🔸 Players create a complex identity shaped by their choices rather than a simple good-or-evil alignment. 🔸 The game world evolves dynamically based on player decisions, relationships, economic activities, and reputation. 🔸 Property ownership generates passive income and allows control over rents, wages, and staffing. 🔸 A dynamic day-night cycle affects NPC schedules, availability, and daily activities. 🔸 Players can influence local economies and even alter public perception through reputation systems. 🔸 The core vision of Fable is to let players build an extraordinary life while shaping the world around them.
