Well said young man and well done for going in to sample the atmosphere. Many of those who knock it won't go near it and that's a terrible pity. Belfast have the Fleadh again next year with 2028 a possibility too.

@garrett_mahony Fair play fella. Ignore the Lego chewers pal, enjoy the event with family, enjoy your city.

Well done mate, I didn't get down to the fleadh but I've heard it's amazing. I'm a Protestant too but the stories coming from this event have been nothing but positive. No one has had to give up their beliefs of culture for this event. It was the coming together of our people.

More voices like this please. And, frankly, more events like this.

Went to carl Frampton world title win in Brooklyn, it was blissful, the queue was full of NI & ROI tops. Everyone was buzzing together. absolutely no animosity. The Jackle united us. It can be done

Catholics and Protestants were taught to distrust and hate one another by those who wished to benefit from division. Some still do, most of us don’t

Ended up in the Fleadh today. Wasn't intending on going. I don't I spotted more than one tricolour. Definitely very welcoming and friendly. Streets closed to traffic and bursting with people. I've never seen Belfast like it. Well done to all involved

The comments are schizophrenic when knuckle draggers get involved. Crime only happens in the other areas. Paramilitaries only control those other communities. Drugs are all their fault. Absolutely no self awareness, insecure and thick as shite on both sides.

The thing is, they aren't actually offended. It's just an ingrained hatred and they will never see or say anything positive about the other side. And social media has given them a space to grow that hatred, encouraged by other idiots the same as them.

Stop sticking effigies of Catholics on top of bonfires would be a start 🤷

If it wasn’t for the Unionists like yourself and many others the crowds wouldn’t be as large …just a pity the food venders use the occasion to rob people

The old saying " don't knock it until you try it" comes to mind. Glad you enjoyed it. There'd be something badly wrong with anybody that doesn't enjoy the atmosphere of the Fleadh after attending.

Like when the Queen visited Belfast and had a walk round the Markets area the Fleadh has been a very significant event. Once you Unite the People of a Country you don't have to worry about Uniting much else! Up A Wee Six! Forward together Yeeeeoooow.
