Today in Once Human, our server reached the invasion phase, which added a world boss that takes like 10 players to kill, new recipes… AND A GIANT SKY WHALE that breaks through a rift in time space and flies around the map dropping items you have to carry to your base to purify. Grabbing those items flags you for PvP until they’re purified and other players can try to take it from you. This game is incredible

After almost 4 weeks of dev, I've submitted Tiny Skies to #vibejam. I've never launched a multiplayer game before, so I'm a little nervous! Tiny Skies is a cosy little game you can pick up and play whenever you have a few minutes. It's a pretty chill and relaxing game where you can fly around and do stuff like: - play casual capture the flag with other players - shoot paintballs at each other (and at gremlins!) - make package deliveries - race in mini races - catch some fish - drift on a magic carpet - collect jellyfish friends - visit the landmarks of the world as a Capybara - unlock all vehicle options: biplane, magic carpet, or fishing boat (unlockable via multiple playthroughs) - or if you're up for it, figure out how to save the world from impending doom I hope you'll enjoy flying (and boating) around the world and soaking in the vibes! Max Levchin explains why B-players hire C-players The co-founder of PayPal and Affirm reflects on the famous Steve Jobs insight that A-players hire A-players, and B-players hire C-players: “It’s profoundly true. But there should be an asterisk explaining why this is true. And the reason for this is fear.” A-players love working with other A-players because they know it will make them better. They want other A-players who challenge them and will tell them when their work isn’t good. Most B-players are net positive too, but as Max argues, some are fearful and will say: “If I have too many B-players or A-players around, I will look terrible and it’ll be very obvious that I’m just not that good. So the way to fix this is for me to become a manager and hire a bunch of people who aren’t very good at all so that I’ll look like the tallest mushroom.” Max continues: “That is the real danger of B-players. Having people who are perfectly willing to do good work day-in and day-out is not the worst thing in the world. There’s plenty of things that A-players will turn their nose from because it’s just not that challenging. B-players are very good for that [type of work]. Goblin breaches are coming to Chapter 1! This video shows three things: a goblin breach opens in your world on World Gen V1, a portal takes you to a goblin world running World Gen V2, and we also have a goblin dungeon in its own instanced world. Some context on why we're doing it this way: the game is still on World Gen V1, so until V2 is fully ready, portals are one way we can deliver new content to players without asking anyone to regenerate their world or find new chunks. It's the same idea behind the Ancient Gateway. Breaches are the other part of it, where instead of you going to find the content, the content finds you! During Early Access, we'll rely on these portals a lot. Once World Gen V2 is the actual world, we will be more careful about using them. They'll still be used for some stuff, but way less in your face. Hytale should feel like an open world, not a portal game.
