She had her right hand up like she was asking for the ball and then turned away. And he clearly meant no harm as you can see from his expression with both hands up afterward. A normal person goes to the fan and says, “I know you were just trying to help, but just hand the ball to me next time,” and gives a fist-bump. Everyone’s happy and life goes on. In fact, the ref would have come out looking great from that interaction. Instead, the ref chose to overreact and behave like a soft, entitled, petty, self-centered jerk, which unfortunately seems to be standard operating mode for way too many people in today’s America.

Best breakdown of this incident that I've seen. Ref got bullied into tossing that fan by the Laker's bench. Kings should give that guy season tickets next year and an apology.
