BUDGET: Changes to the 2% tax (IMTT) Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube has cut the 2% tax on ZiG transactions to 1.5%. The rate stays at 2% for USD. The IMTT will now be treated as a tax-deductible expense, a measure of relief for businesses. IMTT contributes 8% of tax revenue. So, to cover the gap, Ncube is raising VAT from 15% to 15.5%.
