Fasting is the No. 1 healing method on Earth. It eats up toxic cells, melts excess fat, & makes your hormones skyrocket. But most people miss out on most of the benefits... Here's my fasting protocol that keeps me energized, shredded & sick-free all year long (4 steps):🧵 1. Last meal at 9PM, first meal when hunger kicks in. Once you master fasting, hunger stops controlling you. Some days I go 16 hours, some days 22—it depends on how I feel. Your body adapts fast, & that’s when fasting becomes freedom. 2. Caffeine Caffeine is my daily performance enhancer. Two freddo espressos (cold coffee) keep me sharp, focused, & unstoppable. Just never drink it after 2PM—it’ll destroy your sleep quality. 3. Berberine The most underrated fat-burning compound on Earth. It keeps insulin low, stabilizes energy, & lets you stay lean year-round. It allows me to stay at 10–12% body fat all year effortlessly. Here's the one I use (AMAZON PRODUCT LINK): 4. Water Drink up, you're body's 70% of water. It regulates temperature, fuels your cells, flushes toxins, boosts brain performance, & even accelerates fat loss. Let me know in the comments... Do you drink enough? Fasting makes me feel more alive than ever. It also: • Makes me more functional • Keeps my hormones high • Fills me up with energy Have you ever tried fasting yourself? *Every body works differently, this is not medical advice, just what worked on me." *Always consult a health expert before following any protocols." *Affiliate links included.* I’m 21 & obsessed with health. Losing weight is ridiculously easy in 2025. But if your insulin is high, your body can't burn fat. Ever worse? High insulin wrecks testosterone and quietly drives your blood pressure through the roof. Here are 6 ways to lower it naturally👇 1. Lower your carbohydrate intake Carbs break down into glucose the fastest, forcing your pancreas to pump out insulin to control the spike. When you reduce daily carb load, your blood sugar stays stable. Stable blood sugar = less insulin released = easier fat-burning mode 2. Walk after every meal (even inside the house) A 5-minute walk acts like a glucose sponge. Your muscles pull sugar out of your bloodstream for energy, which lowers the insulin needed to process that meal. Even slow indoor walking reduces post-meal glucose by up to 30% in some studies. 3. Eat protein & fat before carbs Protein and fat slow stomach emptying. When carbs hit your bloodstream more slowly, insulin rises gently instead of spiking. This “food order” trick can reduce the insulin response by 20–40% with the same exact meal. Crazy, right? 4. Fasting. When you’re not eating, your insulin drops. And the longer insulin stays low... The more your body shifts into burning stored fat for energy. Want to supercharge your fasting and knock down blood sugar faster? Berberine might help. It doesn’t simply lower blood sugar and insulin the “natural way”. It activates the enzyme AMP‑activated protein kinase (AMPK) — a fat-burn accelerator. Find it here (Black Friday Amazon Deals) 👇 I also created a FULL-GUIDE on how to use Berberine properly (even if you have never taken it before). Comment "Send" and I'll send it over. (must Follow so I can DM) 4. Strength training. Your muscles act like insulin sponges. The more muscle you have, the more glucose you can store without needing high insulin. Even a single strength workout can increase insulin sensitivity for up to 24–48 hours. 5. Get 7–8 hours of sleep. Poor sleep raises cortisol, and cortisol tells your body to pump out more glucose. More glucose = more insulin. Good sleep resets your hormones overnight and improves insulin sensitivity the next day by 20–30%. 6. Get enough sunlight. Sunlight triggers nitric oxide release in the skin, which helps improve glucose uptake. - Lowers cortisol - Reduces cravings - Stabilizing blood sugar - Sets your circadian rhythm More sunlight = lower insulin throughout the day. My DMs are always open for ANY questions you might have. Thanks for reading until the end, see you in the next one. *Every body works differently, this is not medical advice, just what worked on me." *Always consult a health expert before following any protocols." *Affiliate links included.*

A 72-hour water fast (drinking water but consuming no calories) can trigger several changes in the body. Some are well supported by research, while others are still being studied. Potential benefits 1. Autophagy may increase * Autophagy is the process by which cells break down and recycle damaged components. * Animal studies show fasting can stimulate autophagy, and in humans it is thought to increase during prolonged fasting, although exactly when and by how much varies and is still being researched. 2. Ketosis * After around 24–48 hours, most people begin producing ketones from stored fat. * By 72 hours, many people are in deeper ketosis, which can: * Increase fat burning. * Provide an alternative fuel source for the brain. * Reduce hunger in some people once ketosis is established. 3. Improved insulin sensitivity * Fasting lowers insulin levels. * Short-term fasting can improve insulin sensitivity after the fast, which may help with blood sugar regulation in some individuals. 4. Reduced inflammation * Some studies have found short-term fasting can lower certain inflammatory markers, although results vary. 5. Weight loss * You’ll lose weight during a 72-hour fast. * Part of this is fat, but a significant amount is also water and depleted glycogen stores. * Some weight is regained once you eat normally again. 6. Lower blood sugar * Blood glucose typically falls during fasting, particularly in people without diabetes. 7. Potential cardiovascular benefits * Temporary reductions in blood pressure may occur. * Triglycerides may improve in some people. * Long-term benefits depend more on overall diet and lifestyle than occasional fasting. 8. Mental clarity * Some people report improved focus and concentration after the first 24–48 hours, possibly related to ketone production. * Others experience fatigue or brain fog instead. 9. Digestive rest * The digestive system gets a break from processing food

"One Of The Most Powerful Ways To Stimulate A Healing Response In The Body...Is To Stop Eating." Barbara O'Neill Fasting Is Like Deep Cleaning Your Home, It Allows You To Eliminate The Rubbish. Before Restoration & Regeneration Can Happen, Every Room Needs To Be Cleared. Fasting allows your body to enter into the state of Autophagy...the body's way of cleaning out damaged cells, in order to regenerate new healthy cells. Autophagy plays a critical role during cellular development & differentiation, functions in tumor suppression, & linked to life span extension. Autophagy also has diverse roles in innate & adaptive immunity, such as resistance to pathogen invasion. Autophagy has many benefits, including: Cellular homeostasis: Autophagy maintains the balance of cell parts, preventing damaged parts from building up & slowing down cell function. Aging: Autophagy prevents cells from deteriorating prematurely, which contributes to aging. Energy production: Autophagy converts nutrients into energy & mobilize energy stores like glucose, amino acids & nucleic acids. Defense against pathogens: Autophagy eliminates pathogens like viruses & bacteria. Protection against neurodegenerative diseases: Autophagy prevents & also treats neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's & Parkinson's Disease. Protection against cancer: Autophagy prevents tumors by eliminating toxic substances. Protection against inflammation: Autophagy protects against inflammation & increases the ratio of Bacteroidetes to Firmicutes in your gut microbiome. Reduced oxidative stress: Autophagy reduces damage to cells caused by free radicals & reduces your risk of developing heart disease, metabolic syndrome & cancer. Improved DNA stability: Autophagy keeps DNA & genes stable. Improved blood sugar control: Autophagy maintains blood glucose homeostasis & combined with carbohydrate restriction, puts type 2 diabetes into remission. Improved neuronal health: Autophagy supports neurogenesis & neuronal development & increases your energy levels by burning fat instead of glucose for energy. Intermittent & extended fasting is crucial for healing every condition & ailment. Breaking the fast with nutrient dense healing & rebuilding foods like bone broth, beef, eggs & butter give the body the fatty acids & bioavailable amino acids for refueling. 👇Short Term Fasting For Autophagy Healing👇 👇Beneficial Autophagic Response👇 👇Molecular Mechanism Of Autophagy👇 Speaker: Barbara O'Neill Video: Health 1 Solutions

Everyone keeps telling her to eat less fat so her body will burn stored fat. But it is not working. And there is a reason for that. When you come from a background of insulin resistance your body has literally lost the ability to tap into stored fat. Elevated insulin for extended periods shoves glucose into your fat cells and locks it behind closed doors. Your liver is still running around looking for glucose because that is all it has ever known. You cannot fix that by eating less fat. You fix it by flooding your body with fat. I am talking 150 to 200 grams a day. You have to force your liver to stop looking for glucose and finally accept fat as its fuel source. That is not maintenance eating. That is metabolic retraining. And before you close this post let me remind you what fat actually does for your body. Your brain is nearly 60% fat. Every single one of your hormones is made from fat. Your cell membranes are made from fat. Fat carries your fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K, without fat you cannot absorb them at all. Fat keeps you satiated, stabilizes your mood, gives you steady energy, and keeps your hormones balanced. Fat is not the enemy. Fat is literally the building material your body runs on. About 70% of your calories should be coming from fat. That is not a typo. Once your liver concedes and fat becomes the rule of the land that is fat adaptation. And THAT is when you can start pulling back on dietary fat slightly and let your body tap into its own stores. That is when the weight really starts moving. I know it sounds completely backwards. I lived on low fat my entire life and ballooned to 330 pounds eating way too many carbohydrates. It took me months to unlearn everything I had been taught. The answer has always been fat. It will always be fat.👑

The Dangerous Cult of 'Fasting' Influencers. Fasting has its anecdotal benefits, yes. But it is overrated. And water fasting is highly overrated. But this video featuring a Cardiologist is amusingly nonsense. There is no study from Boston (from a "University?" - how vague!) that says 7-days water fasting reduces risk of cancer (what cancer?) by 70%. And there is no proof that fasting kills cancer cells in humans. Here is what fasting does to cancers in humans. Nothing. Fasting is now become a sort of religion-like cult for wellness influencers to rake in views and engagement. From a scientific standpoint, there are no realistically good human studies to prove anything from fasting that benefits cancers. I know, I know, "autophagy" and all that. Autophagy: Autophagy is the natural, conserved degradation of the cell that removes unnecessary or dysfunctional components. Yes, its a legit term and all. But in the context of cancer reduction and fasting in humans, it sounds like "immunity boosting," another wellness fraud term. The effects of fasting on cancer cells are all based on MOUSE studies, and none explicitly translated to humans. See this paper: everything is based on cells and tissues and small animal experiments: "While research on the subject is tantalizing, there’s little clinical evidence involving humans to substantiate the claims. Studies on the potential impacts on cancer treatment from various forms of fasting or calorie restriction, including the possibility that they reduce side effects, have been limited." "Fasting may not be appropriate for malnourished individuals or those with cancer cachexia, which results in a continuing loss of skeletal muscle mass, or for people with chronic diseases. Those with diabetes need to be very careful, because of the risk of hypoglycemia." "Based on our systematic review and meta-analysis, there is currently no evidence supporting the superiority of therapeutic fasting over non-fasting in preventing chemotherapy toxicity." - see here: Even intermittent fasting (IF) is overrated in cancer. "IF may be considered in adults seeking cancer-prevention benefits through means of weight management, butwhether IF itself affects cancer-related metabolic and molecular pathways remains unanswered. See here: Also this: "Fasting for short periods does not have any beneficial effect on the quality of life of cancer patients during treatment. Evidence on fasting regimes reducing side effects and toxicities of chemotherapy is missing." See here: The whole aspect of "fasting reducing cancer incidence" in the real world is just due to weight loss. Obesity is associated with at least 13 types of cancers and reversing obesity reduces risk of cancer - nothing to do with fasting killing off cancers cells in the body. And one can lose weight even without fasting. See here: Everything from prevention of adverse events of cancer, to reduction in side effects from chemotherapy, to slowing cancer growth by reducing glucose levels, to promoting cell regeneration by affecting autophagy is all LAB BASED MOLECULAR LEVEL HYPOTHESIS that has not been proven conclusively in humans. See here: Cancer patients must not starve. They must remain hydrated and they must eat a well balanced diet because cancer condition is highly demanding. And dont water fast for 7 days. Easy for people to make reels on it, but in real life, it may prove disastrous. Water fast does make you lose weight (because of starvation) but it is not at all a healthy way to lose weight. Stop with this fasting and cancer madness already.

Can people in power/ authority kindly stop with this absolute BS on "fasting killing cancer cells" and citing religious nonsense to appeal to peoples emotions? Fasting is really quite dangerous for cancer patients in real life. Let me explain and bury this myth once and for all, especially for science illiterates like this guy. [1] The most common argument is that fasting "starves" cancer by cutting off its sugar (glucose) supply. While it is true that cancer cells consume vast amounts of glucose, they are biologically aggressive survivalists. If you stop eating, your body eventually switches to burning fat and breaking down muscle for energy. Cancer cells are highly adaptable; when glucose is low, many types of cancer can mutate to feed on other fuel sources, such as lactate, amino acids (from your muscles), or fatty acids. You cannot simply "starve" a tumor without starving the patient first. [2] Fasting is dangerous for cancer patients because of cancer cachexia - a wasting syndrome where the body loses muscle and fat rapidly. Cachexia is responsible for up to 30% of cancer deaths. Cancer puts the body in a hyper-metabolic state (burning energy fast). If a patient fasts, they risk accelerating muscle loss and weakening their immune system. A weak body cannot tolerate life-saving treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, nor can it fight off infections. [3] Most claims about fasting curing cancer come from studies on mice or cells in a petri dish. In a dish: You can kill cancer cells with almost anything (lemon juice, bleach, starvation, even shooting a bullet at it at close point or using a grenade to destroy the entire lab) because they have no immune system or body to protect them. In a human: The biology is infinitely more complex. Human metabolism, hormonal fluctuations, and tumor micro-environments mean that what shrinks a tumor in a mouse often fails completely in human trials. [4] Proponents often cite "autophagy" (the body's cellular recycling process triggered by fasting) as the cure. They claim it cleans out cancerous cells. Science shows that autophagy is a double-edged sword. -In all people, autophagy is a normal physiological process - whether fasting or not, which help in cleaning up damaged cells. -But in patients with cancer, once a tumor exists, cancer cells can actually hijack autophagy to survive stress (like chemotherapy) and repair themselves. In this context, fasting could theoretically help the cancer survive the treatment intended to kill it. [5] "Cancer" is not one disease; it is over 200 different diseases characterized by uncontrolled cell growth. Some cancers are driven by hormones, some by genetic mutations, and some by viruses. A fasting protocol that slows down one specific type of breast cancer might have zero effect on pancreatic cancer, or worse, accelerate a different type. The most lethal aspect of this misinformation is the delay in treatment. Cancer is a time-sensitive disease. While a patient spends months trying to fast the cancer away based on religious or alternative advice, the cancer often metastasizes (spreads) to other organs. Once cancer spreads, it often moves from being curable to being terminal. Relying solely on fasting wastes the critical window where medical intervention could have saved a life. Suggesting a single "ancient cure" for 200 complex genetic diseases is scientifically illogical... ...and generally stupid, as this video proves.

Jaylen Brown says fasting “saved my life” and strengthened his mental health “Giving your body a chance. You spend so much time focusing on digesting and breaking down stuff. When there's nothing in your system, your body can use that energy to go through so many different things, like to heal yourself, to make yourself have a little bit more clarity, or just your body starts to function in different ways when you have the energy to do so” “How it's helped me in my craft is that it also pushes and challenges you. When you challenge your body by fasting and challenge your spirit, you also challenge your mental as well. It's your ability to persevere, your ability now to remain calm in adverse situations. I think fasting has helped me in that” “It's increased my mental health, and I've said it before, in a lot of ways it's really saved my life. We go through trauma. We all have issues and things that we deal with on this planet that have an effect on us because we're humans. The state of your mind, the state of your well-being, can determine how you go forward from those moments” “Being able to have strong mental health, being able to endure life's challenges, is a great skill set. I think fasting has helped me in that regard, developing that so that now when you reach these moments of adversity, these moments of anxiety, of angst, depression, that you're able to persevere because you've practiced it” “If your body can go without water and food, your body can go without a lot of these other things, distractions, stress, and whatever is causing you depression, whatever is causing your lack of mental health. Actively challenge yourself because that's where growth happens, not from comfort”

How to ACTUALLY reverse Insulin Resistance That frustrating diagnosis of insulin resistance means the old rulebook for your body is obsolete. What once worked to manage your weight no longer applies. The good news? The new playbook for metabolic recovery doesn’t demand superhuman willpower. As Dr. Annette Bosworth (Dr. Boz) clarifies, reversing insulin resistance hinges on three fundamental shifts. First, track insulin, not calories. The primary lever is your insulin response, not energy units. Carbohydrates trigger the most significant insulin spike, protein a moderate one, and fat the most negligible. In a low-insulin state, dietary fat becomes a powerful metabolic fuel. The directive: embrace fat and restrict carbs to under 20 grams daily. Second, don't eat after dark. The timing of your fat-based meals is critical. Consuming food after sunset carries a heavier metabolic penalty for those with insulin resistance. The golden rule: lengthen the interval between your last bite and bedtime to optimize next-day insulin sensitivity. Third, "measure it if you want to change it." Since you can't easily test insulin directly, Dr. Boz recommends tracking its two most controlled molecules: glucose and ketones. Her innovative "Dr. Boz Ratio" (Glucose ÷ Ketones) serves as a powerful proxy. A lower ratio signals lower insulin, and the ideal time for this measurement is first thing upon waking. The path to reversing insulin resistance is not about deprivation, but about strategic, informed choices.

I lost 138 lbs eating 120-150 grams of fat a day. Let me say that again for the people in the back. One hundred and fifty grams of fat. Per day. Bacon. Butter. Egg yolks. Chuck steak. Ground beef. I was flooding my body with animal fat and my body responded by healing everything. My hormones balanced. My insulin resistance reversed. My metabolism healed. My inflammation dropped. My brain fog cleared. My skin improved. My joints stopped aching. All from eating the one thing we’ve been told for 50 years would kill us. Here’s what they don’t tell you about fat. Your brain is nearly 60% fat. Every single cell in your body has a fat based membrane that controls what goes in and out. Your hormones, the ones that regulate everything from your mood to your metabolism to your menstrual cycle, are built from fat. Specifically saturated fat and cholesterol. The very things they told us to stop eating. Fat is what allows your body to absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K. Without fat, you can eat all the vegetables in the world and your body can’t even use the nutrients. Fat is what keeps you full. Fat is what keeps your blood sugar stable. Fat is what gives your body long, steady energy instead of the crash and burn cycle you get from carbs and sugar. And what did we do? We went low fat. We replaced butter with margarine. We replaced lard and tallow with seed oils. We filled everything with sugar to make up for the flavor we lost when we took the fat out. And then we wondered why everyone got sick, got fat, got diabetic, got depressed, and got put on fifteen medications. The low fat era was the biggest nutritional disaster in modern history. And we’re still living in the fallout. I ate more fat than most people would ever be comfortable with. And it gave me my life back.🧈👑

Fasting is NOT Superior for Autophagy Autophagy has become the biggest buzzword in nutrition in the last 5 years & whenever I do videos or posts on intermittent fasting & why it is a useful tool for fat loss, but NOT superior to other calorie equated diets, people invariably say that ‘tHeSe StUdIeS dOn’T aCcOuNt FoR aUtoPhAgY!’ When I cite studies showing that normal calorie restriction gets the same benefits as calorie equated fasting diets, people often say that fasting gets you the benefits WITHOUT calorie restriction. Well, a very highly controlled study showed that this is NOT the case Well this study did (PMID: 34135111). They had people follow one of 3 diets: 1) Alternate day fasting without calorie restriction where they ate 200% of their maintenance calories on feeding days, & 0% the next day (200:0) & continued to alternate them throughout the course of the study 2) Alternate day fasting with 25% calorie restriction where they ate 150% of their maintenance calories on feeding days & 0% the next day (150:0) & continued to alternate those throughout the course of the study or 3) Continuous calorie restriction where they had people eat 75% of their maintenance calories every day for the duration of the study (75:75) Both the 150:0 & 75:75 diets reduced body weight to the same extent, but the 75:75 group lost slightly more fat mass & retained slightly more lean mass than the 150:0 fasting group. Both restricted groups lost more body fat & weight than the 200:0 group which did not lose weight or fat. Markers of autophagy were also equivalent between the 150:0 & 75:75 groups as well as other adipose tissue genes, gut hormones, and markers of cardiometabolic health This study demonstrates that it is the caloric restriction that drives these improvements in health & the changes in autophagy, NOT because fasting has some magical effect on autophagy that exists outside of the caloric restriction it imposes I am NOT saying fasting is bad. I’m not saying it’s not a useful tool or that you can’t lose fat with it. You can & it can be a great tool for many people… it’s just not magic like many proponents of fasting try to make it out to be Tired of the diet wars & not knowing how to make sense of all the contradictory information out there? Comment ‘FRAMEWORK’ and I’ll send you my simplified guide on how to lose fat & build muscle for FREE

The Science of Fasting - 2012 Documentary There is a reason so many religions and cultures across the world advocate for fasting to resolve health issues, and think every human being on earth should fast intermittently to help repair and detoxify themselves in this incredibly toxic world where we are being inundated from every vector. Obviously fasting can be detrimental if done excessively and the nutrition is inadequate in between fasting stints, but overall if done right, it's so obviously a great tool for our health that we should all take advantage of. It can by intermittent fasting with 18/6 or 16/8 schedules, it can be 1-2 days a month, it can be 1 week every 6 months, or whatever works best for your individual situation and health goals, but we should all be doing a little bit of fasting every now and again. Considering a large portion of the US is brutally addicted to food and severely overweight and unhealthy with countless diseases and ailments, we should be investing in fasting clinics such as the one shown in this documentary to help them break the addiction and get healthy. Robert F. Kennedy Jr has discussed detox clinics for drug abuse, and hope he can consider the same for obesity and chronic disease with fasting clinics. Many people are not disciplined and strong enough to not eat at home for a few days because of all the temptation, but if they had a place to stay with rules and restrictions, they could learn that discipline and then do it on their own. For anyone that thinks it's dangerous to fast for a long period of time, you should lookup the story of the scottish man back in 1965 who was over 450lbs and fasted for a year straight. If you have body fat on you, you can fast until it's gone, as long as you have water to drink.
