Too far? Thats exactly what a parent is supposed to do. Teach your kids manners when they are young, or they grow up not respecting anything.

He went light compared to what my dad would’ve did to us. We would’ve got yelled at, then he’d make us pick out a switch so he could whup our ass, followed by no tv, radio or dessert for a week
