Thank the gracious overlords at the FDA, for allowing us to monitor what is going on in our own bodies. As to "CGM approved" that sounds like glycemic index ratings which we already have. Low glycemic index > SAD, even if it isn't keto or carnivore.

Even with insurance, I'm paying $75 per CGM. So, if the price comes down to around the $30 range after they become available over the counter, that would be greatly appreciated. The more people that become aware of how the foods they eat impact their blood glucose, the better. The manufacturer's can more than make up in volume what's they're hopefully going to lose in reduced per unit cost.

I’ve been wanting to try one just to see what foods raise my glucose levels, so this is good news for me!

I've been using a cgm for 18 months as a type 1. I think it's a good idea for anyone to use, just to see what is happening to their blood glucose. Many will be surprised what foods cause them to spike. However, the manufacturers need to provide better software to allow comparison

I have used them before and look forward to the OTC version.

Wow, insightful point about processed-food companies making “foods” to by-pass CGM detection, which is a big issue. People will eat these processed foods thinking it is not harmful. Now something to detect lingering seed oils in the body needs to be invented.

Interesting. I was recently trying to figure out how to get one without a prescription. I like it.

Wow thx much for this tweet Shawn! I've been wanting a CGM for yrs but it just hasn't made it into the budget like my organic beef and supplements have... soooo, a less expensive OTC one would be a great thing as far as I'm concerned. I'd love to join Levels, but can't afford :(
