I met friends playing F.E.A.R.'s multiplayer way back then that I still talk to 20 years later. I put so much time into that game's multiplayer.

Absolutely unrivaled sound design and viceral combat. For a game that old to have no modern equivalent is a real testament to how bad games companies have gotten.

Bro I’m dying for a remake of this game!

I was playing it when released with a friend and we were like "imagine if now the games are so good what it will be after 20 years". Little did we know 20 years ago was the peak of gaming.

iirc this was one of the only games where I remember enemies actually actively try to look for cover instead of just being some static npc ahh that stands in one place and shoots.

Why the haven't done a remake of this game is beyond me. It's all there, maybe clean up the cheesy parts but man that game was a blast and the ai soldiers would murder you.

Remember playing this on PC when it launched. Game blew my mind. Super fun game play, insane AI, surprisingly fun multiplayer. Miss those days.
