I don’t get why state governments need to spend incredible amounts of money to participate in these junkets. It’s a free for all right now with diminishing returns. This is why they are sitting around and signing MOUs with Indian companies. Every major global player now has an office in India. 🤷

You have to allow states to compete to make them individually efficient and attractive. Doing a central tie up and dividing the bucket will only create imbalance, inefficiency, and, frustration. Merit could get ignored in the face of political compulsion.

Competition is Good!

I would say it is a good strategy for states to have their own stalls. Because it gives more ground to be covered, If they don't like Karnataka, they can go to Andhra or Assam or Telengana, and show the diverse incentives and broad cross country access to market.

India is one entity from ancient history. U.S. transplanted from different soils from across Atlantic, especially Spain. Spanish seamen were great sailers who practically conquered whole lands but failed to sustain beyond SA and part of NA. Failed in Asia.

I've attended multiple WEF Summits incl. IES-WEF. U r right in that US has what they call USA House. But I feel that competition between states is good thing. Unfortunately a narrative is being prepared and most people who are commenting haven't been to any WEF Summit.

India is not a Federation of States like USA. India is a Union of States. There a big difference. Anti-India forces are seeking to obliterated this difference.

Why not do the same in India itself when most MoU's are with Indian companies only .

Competition between states to bring in investments and development is a great thing. Competition between states about who gives more freebies, reservation and socialism is a terrible thing.
