Not the first time Tom and Jerry have spoken. But it is weird seeing them casually speak to each other.

I don't mind the voices of them, but to act like they never heard each other talk before when they had in the older cartoons before is just an off choice to me...

Tom and Jerry broke the no speaking rule many times. They talked/whispered to each other, they sang, theyed narrate (it happened alot more than you think), but no matter what, they always felt in character. In this movie however, got their characterization dead wrong.

Technically speaking, they’ve always spoken in the short films, but those were just occasional appearances. So it’s "illegal" to hear them talk so much.

It was an interesting idea, but watching these two characters break the vow of silence just doesn't work and goes against everything they are as characters.

This was a forgotten Tom and Jerry one.

NGL That voice fits Tom really well If he had a consistent voice, That’s the one I would pick for him Jerry’s is okay, though he sounds a little bit like Nibbles if he wasn’t a baby

I discovered that the real issue here isn’t so much that Tom and Jerry talk too much, it’s that everyone talks too much

This has the most sonic and tails energy this implies Jerry still has his baby voice despite being a grown man

They speak in small doses all the time. This was the first time they had full sentence speaking lines.

Also is it just me or does Tom kinda sound like he’s being voiced by Tom Kenny? Like I know it isn’t him but it just kinda sounds like him

Tom did talk in Tom & Jerry but it was extremely rare, Jerry never talked.

When I saw the teaser for this, and heard their voices for the first time my mind was blown

I used to think I was hallucinating when I was a kid because I watched this movie once in classin like, kindergarten and never saw it again

I wouldn't mind if their voices weren't so naff

They said small phrases in a number of episodes before this movie even came out. Examples include Tom saying, 'PIE?! Let me have it!', 'Don't you believe it!', and 'You set my soul on fire...', as well as singing in the same episode

it barely bothers me much because they do talk once in a while in about half of their cartoons Just what makes this film a problem is that it's Bootleg Rescuers with singing. And even with the talking Tom and Jerry were almost like stickers
