The aircraft PH-AXB has since been grounded at the airport for assessment by engineers and repairs. Following launch, one of the Progress spacecraft’s antennas used for automatic docking did not deploy as planned. All other systems are operating as designed, and Progress will continue toward its planned docking at 9:34 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 22. Troubleshooting will continue and if the antenna cannot be deployed, Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov will manually pilot the spacecraft through a backup system for rendezvous and docking at the space station.

The Fun of Control Systems In the first scene, the controller only had to balance the cart-pole while tracking targets and handling disturbances. Here, the same idea is pushed into a harsher setting. The track can flex, and a hanging load adds another swinging mode. So the job is no longer just keep the pole up. The controller now has to settle the cart, the pole, the beam vibration, and the suspended mass together.

Well, that would do it. The pilot didn’t flare the aircraft before touchdown meaning the plane slammed into the ground while dropping at a rate so fast the main gear collapsed. The right wing breaks off and the plane rolls, skidding to a stop. Lot of questions here…
