Ms. Rachel: I've had the honor of meeting with 10 absolutely precious children their wonderful families who have been locked in Dilley Immigration Detention Center in Texas. A prison that is neglecting, abusing, and traumatizing kids. There is no safe amount of time for a child to be in detention. Dilley immigration detention center must be shut down. We need to end the cruel policies of family detention and family separation.

Korea has the lowest birth rates in the world and is running out of people. In the middle of this demographic crisis, expanding access to abortion makes no sense. The country needs more children, not policies that make it easier to end pregnancies. Leaders and movements should be focused on supporting marriage and family formation instead of treating abortion as just another healthcare option. When birth rates are this low, political viability arguments miss the point. The real priority is reversing the collapse by making it easier for Koreans to have children, not easier to avoid having them.

There are all these kids here.’ Well, the sad thing is, because there’s so much abortion here, there aren’t the kids to adopt here that there were many decades past. Far fewer. So that’s number one. And number two, there is a need internationally for children who are abandoned, who have no one. In a lot of countries—and Russia doesn’t allow adoption anymore. Obviously with the war we wouldn’t be doing that—but one of my sons is one of the last kids out of Russia. Children are children. Bringing them into the country legally versus putting them in a migrant caravan to be raped and trafficked and abused is something completely different. So I don’t think there’s any disconnect there. Massachusetts Department of Children and Families has stripped a couple of their foster license after years of caring for vulnerable kids because they refused to sign a form forcing them to “affirm” a child’s gender identity and use their “preferred pronouns.” Lydia and Heath Marvin have fostered 8 children under 4 since 2020, including a baby with serious medical needs. We are being lied to. 1.4 million net migrants under Albanese. We are being told that they are contributing. But very few of them are actually the doctors and tradesmen that we need. Why aren’t we training up our own people? Our native-born replacement rate is at 1.4 - why aren’t we supporting our own young people to have the number of children that they want, instead of the number of children that they can afford? We don't need Trump and Vance teaching us about periods in an attempt to have a “baby boom.” It’s true that Americans are having fewer kids, and for some people that’s an economic choice.
