There are 4 completely different experiments for the double slit scenario which produce 4 completely different results that have nothing to do with each other. I just did a three hour talk last night with @ChiefDinger about this. Mass and energy are two completely different things. There is an equivalence… Not a literal interchange. Relativity/Lorentz invariance says E = mc² (Energy and mass are universally equivalent and literally interchangeable under All conditions.) but Galilean variance says E = Δmc² = mₒc² (Energy changes in a system are the result from changes in mass. mₒ represents the original mass of the scenario. Mass and energy do not literally interchange. There is an equivalence, not an interchange.) As Einstein himself wrote in a letter to Erwin Finley-Freundlich in August of 1913: "Wenn die Lichtgeschwindigkeit auch nur ein bißchen von der Geschwindigkeit der Lichtquelle abhängig ist, dann ist meine ganze Relativitätstheorie und Gravitationstheorie falsch." "If the velocity of light is even a little bit dependent upon the velocity of the light source, then my entire theory of Relativity and theory of Gravitation is false." The electron is not traversing all possible paths… Only one definitive path. It's the sharp edges of the slits themselves that re-emit brand new secondary electrons, which then produced the interference pattern. It is not the same electrons from the primary beam. Quantum theory appears to allow some kind of connection between entangled particles, but not enough to send messages. Prof Antony Valentini argues this is a conspiracy: there must be something deeper than quantum, where nonlocality can actually be used to send messages, but it is hidden from view in standard quantum experiments. In this episode of the Quantum Foundations Podcast, Valentini uses Pilot-wave theory to explain the physics of the nonlocal subquantum world. Don is a particle physicist at Fermilab who has spent decades working at the frontiers of high energy physics. He is also a great teacher & writer. I highly recommend his courses & books. Some people have DMed me saying that it is impossible for things to move faster than the speed of light as described by Einstein’s theory of general relativity. Therefore a higher intelligence from another star system would be too far away to visit earth. Here Bob Lazar explains how a gravitational drive (warp drive) operates by distorting or warping space-time. The spacecraft itself is not actually moving/traveling in linear space therefore it has a linear velocity of Zero. It is not actually moving in Newtonian physics terms.
