Finally! A GOOD COP video! Why can't all simple traffic stops be as easy as this?

That’s Deputy Frank Sloup. He’s featured in a series of YouTube videos called “Fridays with Frank”. He’s amazing at his job, always courteous, and a true professional. He would make a great instructor.

Wow! Two normal individuals having a polite traffic stop? Unbelievable! None of the few I have had have ever been violent. Bravo for being civilized and normal!

Notice something. He treats them with respect and they act with courtesy and respect. A friendly exchange and the guy got off with a warning. As a friend/cop once told me: if I pull you over, you are getting a ticket. How you treat me might get you out of it. Follow instructions, show some courtesy and you might get out of it. Argue and be demeaning then you are guaranteed to get every ticket they can write.

I want them to take all vehicles with all blacked out windows off the road. If you cant see the drivers eyes you do not know if they see you.

That’s literally how 99% of traffic stops go.

This is one of Frank's better moments. But he's had some bad ones too. He's also somewhat limited in what he can do anymore these days because he's on the Brady list and that can kill your credibility in court. Plus, it turns out some of his prior coworkers in law enforcement were less than impressed with him.

Yeah, that could have gone soooooo much worse. That cop had zero ego, zero chip on his shoulder, was friendly, handled the declaration of a firearm with exceptional aplomb. I'd give this interaction an A+ from both the cop and the driver.

Most people don't realize that the cop himself doesn't want to be on a gun fight. He just want that encounter to end peacefully, and as quick as possible. Cops will do whatever they can to just let people go without trouble.

From the quality of the audio the video and the editing it looks like a clip from a show of some type? I think the real giveaways the guy didn't turn this into a shi7show lol.

Cops are human to. Arrogant, selfish, thieves, good, kind, forgiving, have common sense as well as no common sense. Put a badge on a thug. Put a badge on a saint.

Frank is one of the good ones.

it's all about perspective; it's not "finally!! a good COP video" it's "finally!! a STOP video" the overwhelming majority of the time, it's not the COP that escalates the situation, it's the person behind the wheel. there are more than 20 MILLION traffic stops every year.

I didn't hear any permission to take the firearm.

He almost slapped him for not having ammo.

Master class . Props to both parties involved

"Finally a good cop video."???? You mean a video where a cop didnt get shot just doing a job?

Frank is one of the best! I watch his videos.

A little courtesy goes a long way. It's a shame that some people can't understand that.

Most cops are at least polite, if not mildly pleasant, as long as you don't chimp out.

What state is this in? 2nd amendment… the right to bear arms shall not be infringed! There are certain states where you can’t even address multiple firearms in the vehicle. The vehicle is an extension of your home.

That a good cop. Not someone on a power trip. 👍🏼👍🏼

Imagine that! You comply, and act civil towards a police officer, and everything is fine! Great job by both of these men. AND he is a 49ers fan!!! BANG BANG!!!

Mostly because people give police attitude for doing their job.

What? No screaming? Holding onto the car while being dragged out? No threatening to sue? No demands for a supervisor? No name calling, losing one's breath, resisitng, crying etc? And look at that! He even got his gun back!!

I never had an unpleasant encounter with the police in my life.

Being polite keeps everybody alive even if you do get a ticket. The warning is a bonus

He’s on the Brady List.

He had no business taking her firearm and checking it for stolen. He had no probable cause to think it was stolen.

This is a perfect example of: Being polite with good manners costs nothing and yields immeasurable returns. Both parties applied this and this was a positive interaction and outcome.

Frank is the man. The driver and passenger were chill and very compliant. Everyone does this when they get pulled over to include the heads up on the firearm, every interaction will go smoothly.

I see his videos all the time. Great cop.

If people responded this politely to the cops, you'd see a lot more good cops.

This is Frank from Pinal County Sheriff Office. He does a videos every Friday on YouTube and FB called "Fridays with Feank."
