The old guy who picks up junk metal around here already has something similar rigged on the back of his old beater truck that he welded together from scrap. This version looks much nicer with cleaner engineering and a smoother winch setup. Still, props to the locals doing it the DIY way for years—real ingenuity!

I think it's pretty cool. It would be handy for removing and installing heavy 5th wheel hitches and for winching heavy motorcycles up a ramp. It's funny how many people are berating the video for using a dryer to demonstrate the concept.
