Finally, Belgian PM, Bart De Wever, isn't afraid to say 'putin isn't getting a cent back'. Period. Bart De Wever, Belgian PM: "Is the reparation loan off the table? I think the text is very, very good because it mentions, of course, that we have no intention whatsoever of...

"Our conditions are clear and are considered rational, constructive, and reasonable by everyone, so I simply must have them. Period. Regarding matters that threaten the financial security of Euroclear and Belgium, no flexibility is possible," says Prime Minister Bart De Wever. Reporter: Is postponement still an option for you? Regarding this: does it have to happen now, today or tomorrow? Bart De Wever: Gosh, that will depend on the dynamics of the meetings, won't it. Europe is a bit like Belgium, I must say. It’s in the final moments that suddenly a lot starts moving. A great deal of text begins to shift. So, we were busy with the Commission until very late yesterday. We also started very early with the Commission this morning. At this moment, I can’t even say what will ultimately be on the table in the drafting. So, even less can I clarify to you right now what our position will be. That will depend on which texts are actually on the table starting from 10 o'clock. I don't know at this moment. Reporter: But the use of Euroclear at this moment remains a "no"? With what is currently on the table? Bart De Wever: We have set conditions. They are clear and they are known. Reporter: And they haven't been met yet? Bart De Wever: I explained them in Copenhagen. I have repeated them repeatedly. They have also been technically developed; they are underpinned. They are considered by everyone to be rational, constructive, and reasonable. So, I simply must have them. Period. There are dealbreakers that must be removed from that text. Period. And otherwise, they will have to carry me out of there. Period. And I think everyone has understood that. I can obviously make a compromise on things of less direct importance. But on a number of matters that threaten the financial security of Euroclear and Belgium, no flexibility is possible. Let that be very clear. Im-pos-sible. And then, as far as I'm concerned, it won't happen. And I’m not giving up. And I give myself a very good chance. But let's not assume that yet. Perhaps it is possible to pull our dealbreakers out of the text, and then this might still end well. Reporter: Was there contact with other leaders yesterday? Bart De Wever: I’d rather not go into that, but well... If I say that, then you know the answer is "yes." Reporter: And Mr. Zelenskyy, have you heard from him? He is also coming "in person" today. Does that change anything? Bart De Wever: I’m not going to list everyone I’ve spoken to. Because then you could go through the whole list, and it’s a surprisingly long list.”

French Army General and Chief of the Defence Staff Thierry Burkhard Chef d'état-major des armées: "Russia is a lasting threat. The war in Ukraine is existential for Russia. And it is determined to achieve what it has set as its goal, or at least what Putin has set as his goal, with the ultimate objective, in military terms, being to weaken Europe and dismantle NATO. That is Russia's goal, it is Putin's goal. To achieve it, through the war in Ukraine, it has reorganized itself quite quickly and effectively, setting up a war economy that is now running at full capacity. This war economy, I believe, is currently one of the key factors keeping the Russian economy afloat. And so, there is no reason - and even a kind of impossibility - to abruptly stop this. This means that Russia will continue to rearm at this pace. And so, despite the losses it is suffering, the incredible losses it is suffering, we estimate that by 2030, it will once again be a force that will pose a real threat to our borders on the eastern flank of Europe. It is clear that what is at stake in Ukraine is, on the one hand, the security of Europe, but I also think that it is, in fact, the place of European countries in the world, in tomorrow's world, in the world that we are shaping today. And if the outcome in Ukraine were a Russian victory and a Ukrainian defeat, we often say that would be a Western defeat, I think that it would be, and is increasingly becoming, due to the American stance, something that would be a real European defeat. And this European defeat is something we would have to endure and absorb. So, Ukraine, of course, must be defended as such. And I think that defending Ukraine is also, in a way, about how we see ourselves and what we are willing to do to shape Europe as it needs to be in the future, and live in today's world. And you understand that, if that doesn't happen - to use an image that has already been used - we would become something like herbivores in a world of carnivores. And that's not a very comfortable position — being at the bottom of the food chain. So for that reason, we must remain extremely vigilant."

Finally, someone is calling out Trump for being a total putin puppet! “I think and I have always thought that the President of the United States is simply an asset of vladimir putin.” - Carlo Calenda, Italian Senator. “I want to tell the people who are listening to us and who are not here today, that Ukraine is Europe. It defends Europe. It defends the last remnants of freedom that there are, which is the European freedom, of Europeans and Ukrainians together. There is no individual freedom without a collective freedom. The battle for Ukraine is a battle for Europe, but it is also a battle for us, to feel that there is a commitment towards something greater than themselves. The guys who go to fight in Ukraine don't do it for themselves. They go there for the freedom of all. I think and I have always thought that the President of the United States is simply an asset of Vladimir Putin. I don't think this will change. I think this will remain. And it is the appointment with history that Europe has. Europe will be born at this moment if it has the strength to fight two enemies, one to the East and one to the West. They both have the same objective: to dismember the European Union, to subjugate it, to make us vassals. If Europe has the strength to constitute its own European NATO to keep putin away and not be harassed by Trump, which Trump has already started to do, well, Europe will be born as a great nation, a great nation that will include Ukraine. If we lose this appointment with history, we will lose everything.” #Italy
