finally got an iPhone and made a VBridger comparison using NVidia tracking w/ webcam vs iPhone my final thoughts having tried the main tracking methods, I gotta say NVidia is THE WORST, not worth it just for extra mouth shapes I'd recommend either basic webcam w/o VB, or full...

This is the best webcam I've ever tried (and I've tried a bunch!) ​ I've been using the first Insta360 Link for about two years, and they sent me a preproduction version of the new Insta360 Link 2 so I could test it. ​ Three weeks later, and I love it! ​ Highlights: ​ • 4K HDR • AI Noise Cancelling (with three modes) • AI tracking • Desk view • Smart whiteboard mode • Virtual backgrounds ​ The webcam is probably 100x times better than the built-in Macbook Pro webcam. Honestly, it's not even fair to mention this. ​ Pro tip: when on a call, set the webcam's microphone to isolate your voice, and the people on the other side of the call will hear you and nothing else. ​ The video will show you a bit more. Check out the smart whiteboard mode because it's one of my favorite features. ​ Webcams are a big deal for me because I teach a class online. I have used the iPhone 17 Pro for more than 2 months. And I can honestly tell you, iPhone 17 is not the upgrade of the year, the iPhone 17 Pro is. iPhone 17 got features that were overdue. iPhone 17 Pro fixes things, long standing issues, annoyances, and nobody seems to be talking about it. For 3D tracking, it's super important to adjust your tracking parameters!🩷 What I like to do is to make a expression, like frowning, and if that blendshape's output isn't max, then I lower the upper bound of the input until it is! <3 I'm using iFacialMocap with an iPhone while wearing glasses and with the lights off -^u^-

while we don’t know for sure if the iPhone mirroring feature will come to the Apple Vision Pro, I sure hope it does. for now, it's available on Mac—i tested it and it's amazing! here’s how you can experience it on your Mac today: 1. make sure both your iPhone and Mac are running the latest beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. 2. position your iPhone near your Mac. 3. an icon titled "iPhone Mirroring" will appear on your Mac's Dock. 4. select the "Continue" button on your Mac. 5. unlock your iPhone when prompted. 6. on your Mac, click the "Get Started" button. 7. with your iPhone locked, open the "iPhone Mirroring" app on your Mac. this feature is a game-changer, and i can’t wait for the day it hopefully comes to the Vision Pro!
