First few tests with Seed Audio 1.0 from ByteDance and I'm loving it. In initial tests voice acting and foley seems much better than native audio from SeeDance 2. Also very cheap to experiment with. A 15 second audio test was only a couple of cents. Definitely something I could integrate into my workflow.

Finally got around to doing some squishy silliness with Flaire, who I actually designed last year! Also tried doing🔊sound effects again (It's way harder to find sounds that fit well than I expected, so it probably won't be a regular thing :O)

Of course, that fits nicely in 32-bit hardware. Only a few instructions. Apple put it in CarbonLib, FreeBSD also used it, and for a few decades it was kind of everywhere. A few years later they discovered that 48271 was a little better. Specifically, a bit more even on spectral tests up to 6 dimensions. It’s kind of funny that so few listened. FreeBSD was still using 16807 in rand() all the way until 2021! So if you ever see that constant in disassembled code…well now you know :) (side note: most rand() implementations moved on to other LCGs, or mersenne twisters and such…but it’s arguable that 16807 is still quite ubiquitous!) Spent a fantastic two days at the Circuito de Navarra in Spain. Mostly dry and a great technical circuit. I was driving a McLaren 720s GT3 Evo with Garage59. It was great to be back with a team that I have a strong history with. I was rusty to start, it’s been a few years out of a GT3 but very happy with where we ended up after two days of testing. I had to hang up most of my engineering brain and focus on driving - and loved every second. More to follow 👀

I understand that they sleep late... Around 2am for some of them. But, very few people are watching at that time. A huge chunk of the show's audience are day viewers. Yes bakhathele but with few people in the house, these moments are too glaring. It is boring.

Good question. A lot of side hustles are hard to break into, but one I “kinda” did when I bought my CAT equipment was driveway grading, ditching, etc. You really only need a CAT 304 or small skid steer (259). I bought my machines to clear my own lots but figured I’d see if I could get a few “side jobs” to offset the cost of the machines. Posted a few comments in some Smoky Mtn groups I’m in on Facebook that my guys and I can do “Driveway grading, smoothing out, ditch cleanouts, gravel spreading, lot prep, etc”. I COULD NOT KEEP UP with the amount of people wanting the work done. It had me and 2 of my employees constantly running around giving estimates, grading this, clearing that. To the point it was taking me away from my new build construction sites too much. I did probably $100,000 in work in a 3 month period. I finally had to just stop doing it because my main goal was building cabins and it was taking my focus away from that. But, a person can quickly learn how to operate a mini-excavator (304) or small skid steer and by throwing a few ads on FB marketplace you can probably gauge the interest. Again, there are many side hustles out there if you’re willing to work, this was just one that kind of fell in my lap because I bought some CAT equipment. I’d pull in $10,000+ for a 2 day job usually. One job we pulled in $28,000 to clear the land, spread gravel and put in a stormwater drain. Took about 8 days and just needed my 304 and 299 there.

GM. Quick update on our boy. There was a small amount of blood in ChooChoo's stool last night. At 14, we don't take chances, so we brought him in late to run tests. Sending you notes as I talk with the vet: - Cyst on the left kidney, stones on the right (calcium buildup causes the stones) - Nothing else stands out as a concern - His heart looks great That last one got me. He had a heart murmur and high blood pressure when we rescued him at 9. Today, at 14, his heart looks great. We're adding a few things to his protocol and we'll share what and why. We'll also have some solid developments soon for the community rallying around him. 🐾 More good years. Together.

A word about the yoof Sheffield Football Club It’s very easy to be down on young uns innit. We all forget that was us once. On Tuesday I told this lot if they brought a drum and made some noise I’d buy them a pie. We’re trying to grow a community!! They did exactly that and yeah they sang a few songs that were too much. Some lemonade got thrown about. Nobody got hurt. Just kids being daft. So rather than throw them out or shout at em I just said “look lads gimme 9/10 not 11/10 and keep it cool yeah” Second half they were good as gold and helped inspire the men’s first team to their best performance of the season with an amazing atmosphere at a hugely increased capacity. So I just wanna shout out this gang of lads not only for their vibes but also being responsive to me asking them to tone it down a bit. Also a bit shoutout to Vill Powell and his players. Promotion remains a real possibility and last night they were incredible 🔥
