Lanterns haters hate character development and good writing. If these shows came out today, people on Twitter would complain about why the characters explore philosophical, existential and religious themes, why they have deep conversations, why there's no action every 2 seconds.

Watch how everyone's going to suddenly agree to all the criticisms of the show when it's over.
