Finally ripped out next.js for vite after a user said our app is slow -- difference is night vs day Our page navigation is almost instant now. Can't think of any reason to go with nextjs if you're b2b (no need SEO) and running a separate backend

👋 I’d love to hear more about your experience here. Is there a reason you added those loading states? I’m trying to better understand the comparison. The after state looks like it is fetching data once, then reusing throughout the app. This is also possible with Next.js.

no disrespect or whatever but i can smell a badly implemented nextjs app from a mile away. if you’re really seeing that massive of a difference, you did not read nextjs docs. or maybe you did everything right idk man

That's valid. I did check and just went for the better DX imo. Vite was a simpler solution for me

this is why i chose vite too, technically client components in nextjs can do the same too but nextjs gave me so many weird hydration errors i just couldnt be bothered to learn to just ship out some features tho im curious lets say u have a huge bundle in app tsx and want to embed it in landing page <landing page stuff here> <heavy component here all client side js> i asked claude and lazy loading is a way but unsure if theres a better way how would u do it or would u just recommend reducing bundle size the reason its big rn its because im not loading static json via network so the entire app ships with all of that, but just curious if u had to do it this way how would a heavy comp be loaded in landing page
