Finally Samsung seems to have fixed Quick Panel animation stutter issue on One UI ! Latest one UI 9 Beta 4 quick panel is smooth without any stutters. Hope this smoothness trickles down to predecessors as well.

‼️ One UI 9 has a bouncy/spring animation when using separate Quick Panel and Notification Panel. On my Galaxy S26 Ultra: 📋 Notification Panel → less stiff ⚙️ Quick Panel → bit stiff It's a tiny detail, but once you notice it, you can't unsee it. Anyone else seeing the same?

One UI, including One UI 8.5, has a long-standing issue with the back gesture: lag. My finger moves, but the animation lags and doesn't follow the finger's response. This puts it behind all other OSes. Comparing One UI 8.5 with vivo's OriginOS5 and OriginOS6 reveals that Samsung's gesture response is the slowest, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue with Home Up. Samsung needs to optimize this. Another problem is that the icons in Samsung's animation are too ugly when they are shrunk. The icons are forcibly stretched to cover the page. Samsung borrowed this from OriginOS 5 at the time, but vivo fixed the problem in OriginOS6, and Samsung One UI 8.5 still has no improvement.

After updating to One UI 6.1.1 I am experiencing so much LESS animations bugs in the software! My S24 finally feels like a flagship. The lags when exciting camera app have also been fixed, which is absolutely amazing. SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR ONE UI 7 🤩🤩

Samsung should straight away copy this animation from iPhone. The transition from lock screen to Home Screen is so seamless smooth and feels alive. Whereas Samsung feels like it’s confused what to show and even if it does smoothly it feels life less and plain. One UI 8.5 & iOS 18

Let me talk about the improvements in One UI 9.0 Beta 4. Here are the two changes I've noticed the most: 1. The Gallery animation has been fixed. The stutter when exiting the Gallery is gone. Returning from the Gallery is now smooth and fluid. 2. Gesture navigation feels more responsive. Samsung has improved the initial responsiveness of the back gesture. When swiping to return to the Home screen, the animation now feels noticeably smoother and more natural. I'm currently at Disneyland, waiting for the fireworks to begin. While I had some time to spare, I recorded two videos to show you exactly what I mean.
