Samsung 👀 Please make the Quick Panel animations more smooth and bouncy in One UI. iOS and ColorOS have raised the bar, and One UI still feels a bit stiff in comparison. A little polish can make a huge difference. Who's with me? 👇

ColorOS 16.1 just raised the bar… BIG TIME (One UI could NEVER 😭) And yeah… 👀 They copied the Now Bar from One UI—but somehow made it cleaner + smoother 😳 Samsung needs to respond 👀⚡ Thoughts? 👇

Samsung, I know you’re copying the search bar animation from iOS 26 😏 Just make sure it’s as smooth when opening and going back — like Apple does. If not, please bring back the One UI 8 style 😤🔥

One UI 8.5 (YJB) search bar animation finally looks smoother 👀 But when you swipe back… it still feels a little off. Samsung’s 80% there — just needs that final polish

OPPO absolutely COOKED with ColorOS 17 They've seriously raised the bar when it comes to animations, lock screen transitions and overall fluidity. Everything feels so smooth and alive, especially those tiny UI interactions that make the whole experience feel more natural. And the lock screen transition is SO CLEAN. The clock stays in the same place when you unlock the phone, making the transition feel seamless instead of just switching from one screen to another. Even the buttons have this soft, bouncy response when you tap or drag them. Genuinely excited to see what OPPO has cooked for the full launch in October.

First, let me clarify: This test has nothing to do with system animations—it measures app response speed, which is one of the most critical factors in determining whether an OS feels "fast." If you're not particularly interested in animations and don't consider them a priority, then touch responsiveness is arguably the single most important aspect of an operating system. In my comparison between One UI 7 and iOS 18.5, Samsung's response was slightly faster. But with One UI 8, the difference becomes staggering—it's now significantly quicker than iOS. The truth is, iOS has already lost its edge, but due to information asymmetry, many followers still believe it reigns supreme. Now, I'm looking to iOS 19 to see if Apple can reclaim some of its former glory.

One UI 8.5 vs. One UI 9.0 In One UI 8.5, when Privacy Display is enabled for a floating window, the entire screen enters privacy mode, including everything outside the floating window. With One UI 9.0, Samsung has significantly refined the feature. Only the floating window remains protected by Privacy Display, while the rest of the screen stays fully visible and unaffected. It's a much more precise implementation that improves both usability and the multitasking experience.

Samsung should straight away copy this animation from iPhone. The transition from lock screen to Home Screen is so seamless smooth and feels alive. Whereas Samsung feels like it’s confused what to show and even if it does smoothly it feels life less and plain. One UI 8.5 & iOS 18

Hot Take 👀 The new Glass slider in iOS 27 should be the benchmark for every mobile OS. I mean, this takes customization to a completely different level. Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. Meanwhile, One UI can barely offer this level of UI customization 😌 When it comes to UI/UX, Apple is the king. Samsung, prove me wrong by copying this for One UI 👀🔥

Here we have the iPhone 13 at 60hz vs S23 Ultra at 120hz. Notice the S23 Ultra has smoother transitions but the animations are bad because of it being non-linear. There's a difference between refresh rate and animations. Sure iPhone looked smooth because of the animations, but the S23 Ultra had more frames in the animations because of the higher refresh rate. But then Samsung messed up with its linear animations. Hopefully, with one UI 6, we see the non-linear animations coupled with 120hz.

I made the right choice in trusting Samsung this time and purchasing Galaxy S24 😊 One UI 7 will finally be smooth and maybe even smoother than iOS. Thank you, Samsung, so much for listening to your customers and fans! 🥹 Video credit: Tarun Vats

Galaxy Fam, let's make our voices heard! I've created a post in the One UI 8.5 beta forum suggesting improvements to the search text bar's opening and closing animations in the App Drawer. Link: How to like this suggestion: • Open the URL in Chrome/your web browser and log in with your Samsung account. • Like or comment. I will create more suggestions soon.

One UI, including One UI 8.5, has a long-standing issue with the back gesture: lag. My finger moves, but the animation lags and doesn't follow the finger's response. This puts it behind all other OSes. Comparing One UI 8.5 with vivo's OriginOS5 and OriginOS6 reveals that Samsung's gesture response is the slowest, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue with Home Up. Samsung needs to optimize this. Another problem is that the icons in Samsung's animation are too ugly when they are shrunk. The icons are forcibly stretched to cover the page. Samsung borrowed this from OriginOS 5 at the time, but vivo fixed the problem in OriginOS6, and Samsung One UI 8.5 still has no improvement.

Player stats UI animation with GPT Image 2 and MiniMax H3. This model is amazing for UI animations. Give GPT Image 2 your character image and ask it to create a stats UI. Then use that UI as a reference for MiniMax H3. You can check the prompt in the replies.

In India Samsung can sell poorly optimised laggy UI phones, provide 2 year old specs and also put a big ad banner in your main home screen UI. No one will have a problem, most of the people will buy these phones even when they know they will get a green line issue later.

let's talk about Galaxy S23 Ultra One UI 6 Beta2 animation. Here is the video comparison, from which we can find several mistakes. 1. Compared with One UI 5.1, One UI 6 Beta2 gestures are unresponsive. Obviously, 5.1 has started to respond, and 6 beta2 stays in place like a fool. This is the root cause of the slowness you feel. 2. Compared with One UI 5.1, One UI 6 Beta2 animation is very simple, without the effect of wallpaper scaling, it looks very rigid and boring. 3. Compared with One UI 5.1 ，One UI 6 Beta2, there is almost no Gaussian blur effect. This is simply an animation made by elementary school students. It is the lowest-level design of human smartphone animation, and it is a garbage-level work that makes all colleagues laugh. Of course, I think Samsung will definitely change, but he is disgusting now. if beta3 does not change, I will continue to scold.
