Hey Samsung 👀 Copying iOS animations but delivering laggy execution is worse than not copying at all. If it’s not smooth, revert to One UI 8. This feels unfinished. 😡😡

If you're not particularly interested in animations and don't consider them a priority, then touch responsiveness is arguably the single most important aspect of an operating system. In my comparison between One UI 7 and iOS 18.5, Samsung's response was slightly faster. But with One UI 8, the difference becomes staggering—it's now significantly quicker than iOS. The truth is, iOS has already lost its edge, but due to information asymmetry, many followers still believe it reigns supreme. Now, I'm looking to iOS 19 to see if Apple can reclaim some of its former glory.

Samsung should straight away copy this animation from iPhone. The transition from lock screen to Home Screen is so seamless smooth and feels alive. Whereas Samsung feels like it’s confused what to show and even if it does smoothly it feels life less and plain. One UI 8.5 & iOS 18

Here we have the iPhone 13 at 60hz vs S23 Ultra at 120hz. Notice the S23 Ultra has smoother transitions but the animations are bad because of it being non-linear. There's a difference between refresh rate and animations. Sure iPhone looked smooth because of the animations, but the S23 Ultra had more frames in the animations because of the higher refresh rate. But then Samsung messed up with its linear animations. Hopefully, with one UI 6, we see the non-linear animations coupled with 120hz.

Hot Take 👀 The new Glass slider in iOS 27 should be the benchmark for every mobile OS. I mean, this takes customization to a completely different level. Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. Meanwhile, One UI can barely offer this level of UI customization 😌 When it comes to UI/UX, Apple is the king. Samsung, prove me wrong by copying this for One UI 👀🔥
