Story time! 😭 I’m still shocked. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na nabigyan ako ng ganitong opportunity to perform on stage with the hitman, Mr. David Foster. So pag akyat ko ng stage dapat mag soundcheck na ako for my spot, pero nagulat ako Sir David is playing the piano. Then he ask me kung suot ko na inears ko kasi pwede daw namin itry yung song. Nagulat ako sabi ko sa utak ko “what song?” So na pa “huh” ako then sabi niya all by myself give it a try daw. Bilang lutang ako sa sobrang gulat kinanta ko lang siya kung pano ko siya kinakanta. After iplay yung arrangement nung song sabi niya “do you want to perform this song tonight?” nasabi ko nalang “if it’s ok with you sir” biglang BOOOM ayun na ang nangyare 😭 Para akong nag audition talaga. Namanifest ko yata. Grabe ‘yung kaba ko. Akala ko pinatry nya lang sa’kin. Syempre sino na naman ako para tumanggi diba? Minsan lang yung ganong pagkakataon kaya Binigay ko talaga yung best ko. Pagkatapos kong magperform, grabe din sigawan ng team and staff sa likod! Para kaming nanalo sa contest tapos talon kami ng talon. Grabe. Ayun lang. Ang haba ng kwento pero solid ang experience. Ive always wanted to post this whole conversation.. BIANCA' S PARENTS MUST HAVE AVAILED THE LIVESTREAM.. THATS WHY THEY NEVER judged DUSTIN. My honest review of Buruguduy The Musical Nung una, akala ko parang mababaw na patawa lang. Medyo nakornihan pa nga ako nung simula eh. Naisip ko "ang labo naman nito...patawa lang sila ng patawa" (buti nalang nakakatawa talaga sila✌🏼😅) Siguro I was trying to look for something deeper, and was hoping that things would soon make sense...or at least magkaroong ng satisfying amount of substance in their world of absurdity (naks...world of absurdity) Sure, it was fun and funny...and how the songs were used (and how the actors performed them), were amazing, and the visual assault was spectacular. Given na yun eh. ...but I kept asking myself, yun na ba talaga yun? Isang nakakatawang trip na may simpleng closure sa dulo? Then looking back, I soon realized how dark and simple the narrative was. Para akong binuhusan ng isang timba ng malamig na tubig. It was brilliant. Like a deep disturbing track disguised as a novelty song. Every single line and element pala were symbols and clues on what the story was all about...even the stupidest little things. Everything about it was precise and calculated. Lahat sinadya. Sobrang galing nung writer. Sobrang galing nila lahat. Napaka-fearless and unapologetic. Parang "kung di mo napansin yung serious side, oks lang...at least natawa at natuwa ka...and yun naman ang importante" 😁👍🏼 Kung na-gets mo naman, parang "p*tang ina...yun pala yun. Mga sira-ulo sila" 🤟🏼😳 sobrang in your face pala yung kwento. Sobrang dark and twisted, pero may subtle, at simple, and beautiful na silver lining.❤️ May seryosong matututunan, at makatotohanan na inspirasyon...na binalot sa isang makulit at magical na mundo. Basta...sobrang galing. ...and sobrang saya lang. Isang feel good na musical (na may dark twist all throughout) at siguradong lalabas kang naka-ngiti.❤️ Excited na ako manood ulit bukas...pero this time, I'll be looking out for more clues, hints, and easter eggs. ...or maybe, I'll just sit back, and simply enjoy the ride, without thinking too much. I’m so glad to see you again my amo JOSH CULLEN 🥹 I was actually sad coz I thought Finale was the last concert I could attend to before I migrate to France. 🥺 My initial flight was 14th of June that’s why my VISA starts on 13th but I moved it to 17th not even knowing about the concert yet so imagine how happy I was when I found out you will return to SG for a concert a day before my flight. 😍 People here in SG were telling me that it’s meant to be.. they were even joking and saying stuff like “IHAHATID ka ng amo mo kaya sya pupunta rito..” then after a week, your song SUMAYA came out. Upon hearing it, I was surprised that the lyrics has “Dapat kitang IHATID” and “IHAHATID na lang kita” 🥹 naniwala na tuloy ako na meant to be na ikaw bias ko 🫶🏼 out of all places, out of all days.. sa SG pa talaga yung concert kung saan OFW ako and umabot pa talaga before I migrate. Ahh, so hindi pala fan ng kulto yung keme, pero feeling ko PBB fan hahaha. Very close ah. The mixed signals, hinde nagkaaminan, iniyakan nang todo... kulang na lang talaga may ibang jowa.. para kumpleto na lols.
