Yesterday we discussed amendments to tackle gender-based violence/harassment in workplaces. It all seemed well intended BUT I got wound up by a) the conflation of sex/gender and b) how women and girls were described as a sub-category of gender identities. Oh, and I mentioned the Darlington Nurses to ask what exactly is meant by harassment and who exactly is running the training?

Tools I used: GPT-4, Midjourney, Kainber AI, Mubert, RunwayML This is the description I used that GPT-4 had of itself as a prompt to text-to-image, image-to-video, and text-to-music. I put the video and sound together in RunwayML.

Very proud today to present my Ten Minute Rule Bill: Interpersonal abuse and violence against men and boys (strategy). This strategy is desperately needed as male survivors of domestic abuse, rape, sexual assault, digital image abuse, honour-based violence and forced marriage are currently an afterthought, incredibly, included within the Violence Against Women and Girls strategy. We urgently need a dedicated strategy for men and boys, and in lieu of a new position statement from the Government, legislates for Jess Phillips to ensure that alongside the forthcoming new Violence Against Women and Girls strategy a separate strategy for men and boys is finally introduced. My thanks to We Are Survivors., @MBCoalition and ManKind Initiative for their advocating for such a step.
